Yeah, Base Mansquatch is the plan, and I know I'll be at my limit there. I make good money, but it hurts my conscience to finance a vehicle in the first place, so I need a smallish monthly payment.
I had a lot more for a down payment, but my dad passed away a few weeks ago, and had nothing saved...
I spoke to my salesman at Miracle Ford in Gallatin, TN yesterday, and he confirmed that they will not be accepting X-plan for the '21 Bronco, however, they are not planning to add any markup over MSRP, and will include a Lifetime PowerTrain warranty in the purchase. As long as I can walk out the...
For me, the X-Plan was a guarantee that I wouldn't have to pay an extra $10k ADM because of the high demand. I'm fine with MSRP + my add-ons, especially as a Base buyer who only wants a couple of little things, and would live without them.
I could not find that tweet on Levine's twitter page... I joined twitter just to beg him for Manual Sasquatch, and only use it for Bronco news. I think somebody is F*cking with us.
Welp, we shall see if I can still afford this thing when it comes time to order. Good thing I'm used to wanting stuff and not being able to afford it, haha.
Get the Bronco you want for adventures and fun weekends, then go spend another $3k or so on a used Toyota Camry to commute in. The v6 ones have like 300hp, so you can still have fun in it.
If you don't go on adventures or have fun weekends, skip the Bronco and just buy the Camry.
If your boring Toyota is boring, try abusing it a little. My 2017 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 4x4, Base Model Tacoma saw LOTS of hard off road use, and was regularly teetering on 2 wheels, or up to the frame rails in mud, or climbing hills that I'd have trouble walking up, or bouncing over rocks the...
I'll be ordering a Base with Sasquatch for the gears, lockers, front diff upgrade, and better shocks. My second set of tires will probably be 33's. The Sasquatch package offers so much more than just big ass tires, and is an excellent deal when you factor in the costs of these items and...
They may be fine, I've never had an offroad rig with CV driveshafts, only U-joint and double cardan, but I have seen friends with JK's throw on a 3" lift kit and by the time they made it to the shop to get an alignment, their stock driveshaft was smoking from being driven with too much angle. I...
Can't go wrong, however when I've looked into this, I was looking at $20k for examples with 200k miles, especially If I wanted any options and a manual trans. I'm sure the after market will respond with u-joint/yoke kits like they did for the JK crowd within 6 months, as well as greasable...
I'm mostly concerned that the driveshaft flanges on the diffs look to accomodate CV style driveshafts like a JK or newer Wrangler. I'd much prefer actual U-Joints for the type of abuse that my Bronco will see. I'm thinking of cheaper, easier trail repairs, and more easily stored spares. I have...
I wish I could put down my deposit/down payment TODAY to keep me from blowing it all on other dumb crap, lol. The deposit makes sense. But anything over $1k seems nuts for the average person to me.
I just know I sold a bunch of stuff to acquire my down payment, and random expenses keep popping...
I've been DD'ing a clapped out Cherokee on retread 33" mudders with a welded rear diff, front auto-locker, and no swaybars for over a decade. It's not bad once you get used to it, haha.
I'm sure the Manual BaseSquatch I'm getting will be much more manageable.
Lol, My wife hasn't once mentioned changing my preferred Bronco build, as long as the payment is low enough. Good thing I like the base model, 2 door, manual trans, haha. Just gotta find a way to sneak Squatch into the equation....
I need something that I can drive across the country pulling a trailer, and then take on gnarly trails and camp out of for a few days, then load up and drive 1500 miles back home, with the A/C and stereo blasting. I have an old Jeep that rules offroad, but sucks for long distance slab work.
I...
I would happily wait until late '22 for my White, 2Door, BaseManSquatch.
My kid will start public school in August '22, So I'll have an extra $150 per week that can pay for it, lol. As it is, I have a somewhat low reservation #, and I imagine these will start delivering between November '21 and...
