  1. Would you abandon the Bronco for the FJ?

I didn't necessarily mean "comparable", as the 4 cylinders are not equal in power. I'd be getting a v6 Tacoma, because my only complaint with mine was it was underpowered. And I'd want a TRD offroad for the rear locker, and they're hard to find with the access cab and 6ft bed, so I'd likely get...
  2. Would you abandon the Bronco for the FJ?

I'd love a base model modern FJ40, 55, 60, 70 or 80. But sad reality is that the Toyota will be out of my price range. If my Bronco will come in around $35k, the Yota will be $45 at a minimum. My base model 2017 Tacoma was about $25k new, sold 4 years later with 60k miles for $22,500.00. I sold...
  3. Tennessee people - Where do you live and what dealership do you plan on buying from?

I'm in Bethpage, reservation at Miracle Ford in Gallatin. Might not stick with them, however. The Salesman I talked to didn't know dick about the Bronco, or if the dealer planned to markup, or if they accept X Plan.
  4. 2.3 EcoBoost vs 2.7 EcoBoost - Poll

2.3l because cheap and because manual.
  5. Installing Sasquatch Package After Purchase?

I can afford squatch now, but it looks like money is irrelevant if I want a manual transmission with it. My 2nd job may go toward building something better than a squatch....
  6. Petition Ford to RIGHT a WRONG!

I guess I'm not the only one who's been drinking lol. If they change the name to "Magic", I'll be buying another Tacoma.
  7. Let's Be Honest About Our Intended Use

2 door base manual, would buy Squatch if I could get it with the manual. It will replace my 2017 base model 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 4x4 Tacoma, which has been used to haul dirtbikes, pull trailers, and has been used offroad more than most people's jeeps. The yota got wheeled in 15 different states...
  8. Ford. If you are reading this. Some suggestions before launch

Lol I just got a response on Twitter for Mansquatch. Been drinking, so I'll just leave this here.... I'll mention I only joined twitter to beg @mike_at_ford for a manual Bronco with Sasquatch. I'm still holding out hope! I test drove the highest trim package Ranger yesterday and know the...
  9. How about an FX4 package?

I'll be buying a base 2.3 manual, and driving it straight to the tire shop for some pizza cutter 33's, and as soon as the warranty is out I'll add my own lockers, probably just a lunchbox locker in the rear and call it good. I would have paid for a sticksquatch, or even just lockers as a factory...
  10. Drove a crew cab 4wd Ranger today

I just test rode a 4 door ranger, and it wasn't that bad. But as we left the parking lot, my wife says, "I think you're going to miss having a manual". I never buy automatics, and dont generally like them. I guess I'll have to forfeit the Squatch goodies...
  11. Is the new Bronco a "classless" vehicle?

I said that line with a certain amount of snark implied. I realize many people live outside their means. I just try not to.
  12. Is anybody else praying their current vehicle lasts long enough for the Bronco to be available?

I'm driving a 1991 Jeep Cherokee with 210k miles, rust, and leaks everywhere, 4.5" lift, cut fenders, welded rear diff, and 33" retread mud tires. I love it. I decided to sell my Tacoma now rather than later, to get the most out of it while the mileage is still relatively low. Now I'm trying to...
  13. Is the new Bronco a "classless" vehicle?

As delivered, the class system will be clear by which trim level and packages you have. I'm lower middle class, and a new vehicle is a huge strain on my budget. My base model, 4 cylinder, manual bronco will be the tipoff that I can only barely afford the thing in the first place. Anybody with an...
  14. Jeep owners - why are you excited about the new Bronco?

    1. My 1991 Cherokee, while extremely capable off-road, is now a little worse for wear after 30 years of abuse, and kinda sucks to drive more than a few hours from home. The Bronco ought to be just as good offroad, while still offering a good on-road experience, and reliability to head to the...
  15. Another look at 2021 Bronco with 2” factory lift kit, 37" tires, top and doors off

They used the nv4500 in all of the big 3's pickups in one capacity or another, the bell housing is swappable to match the engine you want. But I'd stick with Ford stuff, for no other reason than feeling weird about mixing manufacturers. If I don't go Ford, I'll likely look for a Cummins 4bt...
  16. Is Sasquatch Being Auto Only a Dealbreaker?

I just want lockers lower gears and a manual. I dont mind lifting it and buying tires on my own, but upgrading the axles is a pain. It won't stop me from buying a bronco, but it will stop me from having a manual, or stop me from having the offroad goodies I want. I'll be bummed about an...
  17. Another look at 2021 Bronco with 2” factory lift kit, 37" tires, top and doors off

That's the only way to get a manual trans. So I'll also be buying the 4 cylinder, which happens to make as much power as the v6 in my Tacoma. The replacement for displacement is forced induction. It'll be fiiiiiiiiine.
  18. Another look at 2021 Bronco with 2” factory lift kit, 37" tires, top and doors off

I'm hoping to buy a wrecked one after a few years for a coyote swap, NV4500, 1 tons, and 42's. Yes, 2 door. Possibly a small stretch to the wheelbase, but 2 door will the the answer. Will be interesting trying to replace those "sport bars" with a real cage. This one will be road legal for the...
  19. Giveaway: Bronco6G Pineapple Pizza Stickers!

1991 Jeep Cherokee Xj 4.0, 5 Speed, 4x4, 2 door, 6" lift, 33's, Locked front and rear. Has a winch now, but this is my favorite photo of it.
  20. 2 door Bronco and new options added to Interactive Garage builder

I'm hoping to have this exact truck as soon as they can sell it to me. Yay first post!
