  1. Snow recovery advice - pulling vehicles stuck in snow?

they have their advantages. it's all about knowing when to use which item & how to properly use it. And always be patient. Frustration, which is natural when stuck & getting in a hurry are the worst things you can do in a recovery. I have a winch (with synthetic line), a kinetic rope & about...
  2. Snow recovery advice - pulling vehicles stuck in snow?

find Popo Patty's YT video & watch it before attempting a recovery. Some very good lessons he learned in that one.
  3. Seeking Advice: Dealership Joyrode My Bronco, Questionable Repairs, and No Support from Ford Corporate

Turning the vehicle over for service doesn't give them the right to use it for other things. It's still an unauthorized use of the vehicle.
  4. 🚨 NEW $1,000 GIVEAWAY: Win a Set of EZ4X4 Alpha Aluminum Tube Doors + Your Choice of Panels! ($1,000+ Value!)

I'd use the doors with molle panels for summer cruising with the top down & music playing
  5. SHOW your SNOW

The wind kept mine mostly cleared off, but we got about 16" I'd say in my part of NW PA.
  6. Battery SOC

That's fine. I'm not trying to go past the OEM setting. My issue is that my charge is getting down to like 48% in only a few weeks because I only commute like 1 mile a day during the week. So I'm not running it enough to offset the starts. I was getting awd & 4wd system issues tied to SOC...
  7. Battery SOC

Was there a consensus on best way to monitor SOC w/o access to FRDS? OBD2 - Forscan app on phone? Or would one of the simple code readers from HF or similar be able to give me the SOC number? I've been having issues & just installed a NOCO 10 Genius to keep mine topped up regularly but I'm...
  8. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

You may not be, but almost every vehicle who refuses to move over when they're not overtaking someone is either from Jersey or Ohio. The Jersey ones are typically nicer vehicles, your description sounds more like an Ohio car, though they just don't replace body panels instead of having...
  9. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

I mean, the parking lot is private property for a mall with 2 stores. Not expecting much there. Are the bad roads why NJ drivers refuse to use the right lane?
  10. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

This one is Cranberry PA (not Cranberry Twp near Pittsburgh) in between Oil City & Franklin. It's run by a Oakwood Management, but it's basically a dead mall. Has an Ollies, Dunhams & that's about it I think. Even the pizza place left. Most annoying issue is the ring road has businesses -...
  11. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

The mall I speak of hasn't seen pavement in this century. Pot holes scattered that are least 10"-12" deep.
  12. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

Yeah, First time I drove my bronco I noticed my tires were nowhere near the trailsight pointed. They're not supposed to point to anything, they're supposed to show you where the inside of your tire/wheel is when you're picking a line over an obstacle....
  13. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

I'm not a fan of removing them, but it does look better with the color distinction here or the one that had black deletes on a gray body color. The OP's white on white didn't do it for me.
  14. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

I actually know of a mall parking lot in western PA that should be used as a proving ground for suspension components. I bet a 30mph run across that would snap the proverbial "1 tons & 40s"...
  15. Trail sight / fender guides removed today

I thought they were lined up with the inside of the front tires.... so you could see your line/wheel placement better.
  16. Anyone tried installing a 10R60 extended dipstick?

@mpeugeot any feedback now that you've had it on for a while? I did the trans pan swap a couple weeks ago & broke the factory dipstick, which is apparently on backorder now. Thinking of getting one of these & just looking for any feedback/advice. Thanks,
  17. Super Clean GMRS Radio Install!

I'm not opposed to doing that....aux switch just seemed the easiest way to do it without going direct to battery...
  18. Super Clean GMRS Radio Install!

Just finished reading this thread while waiting on my MXT275 kit to show up. Couple questions - what aux switches is everyone using? I've got 1 & 2 available currently, without having to rewire something. Planning on installing this & a pair of Diode SS5 pod lights - thinking switch 2 for the...
  19. Looking for Trail Marker Lights....

If I remember correctly from when I installed mine, they have in inline plug that goes in between the wiring harness & the headlight plug. Then you wire the DRL to either a switch or like I did, to a fuse tap.
  20. Looking for Trail Marker Lights....

Was it? "Trail Marker Lights" to me doesn't read as necessarily being a delete of the trail sight it seems to be open to either a delete product like this or a product that keeps the trail sight but incorporates an LED light into it...
