No issues at all... My sub fit flush to the enclosure and I pre drilled all the holes and put in wood screws to mount the sub. I did line the interior of the enclosure with sound deadening and also put a layer of sound deadening at each point where the enclosure mounted to the fender well to...
No, the tweeter/speaker setting is to tell the amp you are running more than 1 speaker on the channel and it's going to cause a low impedance. Like we have up front... If you changed that to just tweeter, or just speaker, you would tell the amp we have higher impedance than what we have.

At higher volumes you can over extend the drivers and they pop and distort. The bass blockers allow you to drive the speakers harder without distortion.
Yep that's the one...
Also, if you haven't done the dash, the 4" up front can be swapped for another very noticeable improvement.
These Infinity's with the bass blockers below are also plug and play and well worth the small investment.

The Fusion amp from TeamEquip and the Kicker 6.75 4ohm sub are basically plug and play. But you do need to have Forscan and the proper dongle to connect it to turn the sub on.

No doubt that straightening up the clip nuts and getting them lined up and YES, starting them all before tightening them is the part that takes the most patience in this whole project. Just disassembling the step deformed at least half of my clip nuts and they were falling off the step as I...
Most car audio speakers have a very small xMax spec which allows them to function in an open baffle without over extending.
In this case, as the enclosure is small, typically you will just be rolling off the bass sooner. Although it is possible to create a poor driver/enclosure combination...
I’m running the Hertz X-170 in mine, not noticing anything unusual about the bass response. Could it be better? Possibly, but it’s not obvious.
I am not a fan of Kickers…. But I can’t imagine them being that “bad” based on the enclosure.
So many things, so far off base...
Who are you to decide what she needs? If she wants it, that's need enough for me. Married for 35 years in April this year...
Besides, even if it was just for the look, you can't get there for the $$ anyways. How much is a regear? Ever done one? if you tried...
I can afford it, why would I tell her no? You want her telling you no on something you want? I'm not afraid of anything, but if she wants something, she can have it, just like I can. And that's legit enough for me.
I've got a garage full of big Jeeps, so the Bronco won't see much offroad duty, but it will pull our off-road trailer to some unique and hidden camp sites... That said, my wife said order it with Squatch or don't bother. SO we have a Squatch OBX and couldn't be happier.
You can beef it up...
