At higher volumes you can over extend the drivers and they pop and distort. The bass blockers allow you to drive the speakers harder without distortion.

I didn't find it too difficult. I just took my time and had it all apart in about 45 minutes. It was much quicker to back together.

The 4" in front make a big difference in midrange and high freq performance. Vocals are much better and it's just cleaner and clearer...

Pretty much, you do have to clip the ends of the speaker leads and strip the wire back to insert in the Kicker sub terminals. Very easy.

The Fusion amp from TeamEquip and the Kicker 6.75 4ohm sub are basically plug and play. But you do need to have Forscan and the proper dongle to connect it to turn the sub on. Look in the audio section for a number of tutorials on this subject.
