It's a horrible value, there is no question about that, and intentionally so. It's a list of all the options Ford knows people are willing to overpay for. Whether it's worth it to you or not is a personal choice of course.
Ford does allow you to turn off the auto stop/start. Also turning on sport mode will disable it. The 2.3 being a twin scroll design will have less turbo lag, but some of that on the 2.7 is not turbo lag, its intentionally tuned that way for fuel efficiency.
I think it looks great and I love the durability factor. The overlanding rig with the MIC top and window inserts looks especially badass. Purposful and rugged, just like the rest of the Bronco. I wouldn't want the painted top even if it was the same price.
A Ford engineer had a white OBX 2dr with the navy pier interior at some local mountain bike trails here in metro Detroit a while ago(Island Lake), and that's one of the things I asked him about. I was wondering why the OBX got a hard plastic upper dash, when I had seen the soft touch material...
The mpg is the big question, and we probably wont know until after odering. If your saving 3-4 mpg with the 2.3, that would be a pretty large percentage, although I somewhat doubt it would be that much of a difference. Also, I would say if you are doing any technical off roading the 2.3 is...
The leather with vinyl is another thing we really need to figure out. What's the ratio of leather to vinyl here? If I decide to spend the 2 grand on leather and all I get for it is $100 worth of center inserts I'm gonna be real pissed.
$795 for just the headlights is a pretty terrible value. The basic headlights have LED running lamps as well, they are just amber and dont have the angel eyes. If the tails are not included there is no way in hell I'm paying $795 for what amounts to just angel eyes.
I hope to God this is correct. The 8in screen is probably my biggest complaint about the Bronco. The bezel is an afterthought that looks like cheap aftermarket trash. The whole dash was clearly designed for the 12 and they forced the 8 on probably 50% of Broncos. The badlands with the high...
Ban me if you must, but I really like the Navy pier interior. I do wish the leather had the same design as the cloth though. The blue down the center is maybe a bit too much. The light gray MGV with blue accents in the BD is also fantastic.
I believe they are including the mesh ones on the front door, which are really bottle holders not cup holders, and the two in the rear arm rest when you get the leather seats. So really there are only 2 on the 4 door unless you get leather.
I was told a month ago that you only get rear cupholders with the flip down center arm rest. I have only ever seen the flip down center arm rest on an outer banks with leather. The build and price doesn't show it anywhere, and I'm not sure if it's the outerbanks, or leather that gets you the...
I've seen the cloth navy pier interior in person and I think it looks fantastic. The blue is dark and subtle, though still "anodized" on the upper dash like the brown interior. My problem is that it dosent go with the race red I want, but I like it enough I might be willing to switch to a...
