I think it’s because they aren’t active on the forum. Albert (for Granger) has provided tons of good info in addition to his can’t be beat pricing. Laura has great pricing and reasonable doc fee - seems a great choice also.
I think it’s pretty clear from the other places these options are discussed on the Ford site and the option build info that has been discoverd (see separate dedicated threads) that BB only makes those options available - i.e., you can pay extra for them. They are not available on the Base. I...
I generally agree with your ratings. Your F for PR would have all been prevented if they had just Set Expectations at launch with a full road map of all the major steps/activities with dates.
If you regret it, ask for it back! It’s not hard. Then you can come back and tell us how you asked for a refund but Ford Motor wouldn’t do it and kept your $100. Oh, wait...
He is on other threads doing the same. I told him to make sure he is back here a month after launch so we can see who is right. Of course he won’t be here after launch - he is just stirring the pot.
In the original now closed 40 page thread:
1) 1/2 the people were upset that build/price was “moved” to Dec
2) 1/2 the people were upset that the first 1/2 were upset
All of the upset could have been prevented by communicating ALL major milestones and related timing in the FAQ at launch...
I don’t think that is true. I’ve seen that the 4dr/2dr breakdown is 95/5. It doesn’t appear Jeep releases auto/manual breakout but people that have tried creative methods to estimate the breakout come up much higher - such as 80/20 for 2017 models (although manual take rate has declined...
I’m voting with fomoco as $500 being a minimum but could easily be more. White top will be very in demand - color top not even an option on base. Your competition is going to be body shop paint pricing and we don’t know what painting that molded in gray color hardtop entails - could be...
No the 4dr just looks better because of the std 4dr auto transmission vs manual on the 2dr (as Pepin10 points out). It’s an overpriced package for 2 or 4 doors, but if you must have something like factory heated seats (or most of the other options) you have to bite the bullet.
There is no reason they would need the PIN at order date, just tell them you will be x-plan eligible when delivered, it should be no issue. If you don’t have a PIN at delivery you obviously won’t be able to utilize X-plan. That said, I’m not a Ford dealer, so to be certain, call and ask the...
Eric
Granger is selling Broncos at $1,000 below invoice and Albert has been great with answering all the questions he can. Check some of the threads started by Granger.
Very nice of you to post that communication as many have wondered why they haven’t received an email. Thanks for the info!
John, I don’t see how that article has anything to do with reporting something inaccurately in the name of being conservative. I think it implies the direct opposite in the statements about how carefully materials are prepared (read — how important accuracy is) and how much time/rehearsal goes...
Wow! The Cactus Grey makes me want to spend $5,000 I shouldn’t spend on a BB in order to get it! Or do I have to spend $10,000 to get that body color top? That really looks great. Those sneaky Ford devils.
The CFO at Ford is not arbitrarily changing the reservation number for conservatism purposes or any other reason. Analysts aren’t stupid, they know what reservations vs orders mean.
That is a good one! I think Ford would be more excited about 80K Sport orders than 150k regular orders ?. If...
I’ve driven soft top convertibles for over 30 years. I never leave anything of value inside the passenger compartment (easier to do when you have a trunk).
I Do Not lock my doors. If someone wants to get inside and look around, be my guest. Take my change, just don’t cut my top. Cutting...
Jeep has jacked the price of Wranglers hugely over the last several years. Ford had to be cheering those moves on. Those big increases have occurred after Bronco was green lighted. I’d like to see Ford’s orginial pricing projections, bet they were a good bit lower than where the Bronco ended...
