  2. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

I think $100 refundable is pretty darn close to ā€œeveryone can do it just for the heck of it.ā€œ Ford clearly set it low because they wanted buzz and excitement with no effort/concern to separate the wheat from the chaff. Would be interesting to know how reservation numbers would have changed if...
  3. Thoughts on waiting for a 2022 Bronco

I agree, very high chance this iteration will be the last with a manual. Honda just killed the manual in the Accord for next year. Honda has always been a bastion for manuals and they are clearly headed for the exits. Kudos to them for keeping one in the Accord as long as they did — longer...
  4. New email from Ford - Bronco reservation dealer can be changed until Oct 31

Iā€˜m pretty certain Granger Motors is and will continue accepting reservations but to hear from the man you should probably contact him directly or at least post in one of the threads that was started by Granger. Albert reads an incredible amount of the topics but he can’t read/see every post.
  5. Thoughts on waiting for a 2022 Bronco

I believe they primarily put the manual in for credibility purposes. To be successful against the Wrangler they had to have the right image out of the gate. Manuals will eventually leave this segment (as they are leaving all segments) but I don’t look for that to be too soon. There is little...
  6. Ford Co-Pilot360 vs Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology

This comparison shows you the differences in the two 360 packages’ content on the Bronco if that is helpful. https://www.ford.com/suvs/bronco/2021/compare-models/#base|outerbanks
  7. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

The windows in a Camaro are very small, therefore they let in less light. It’s true with most modern cars. Goggle car pictures from the 70’s and 80’s and note how much larger their windows are. It has nothing to do with the size of the car. For a more modern example look at a first...
  8. Base Model Bronco Thread

Except it’s not stripped! It’s got cruise, power windows and locks, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and keyless start - all standard. Amazing to me the amount of standard equipment on the Base. The 2dr BB is $5k more and you get bigger aluminum wheels/tires, leather wrapped wheel/gearshift, fog...
  9. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

It probably that damned Bronco Window Sill rating system I developed (1 to 5 Broncos). I knew I should have test marketed it before the roll out.
  10. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

I’ve known how to adjust mirrors correctly since 1984 when I was a wee lad and I sent a request to NHTSA. They sent me a very nice color postcard on how to properly adjust mirrors. True story. I don’t like dark bunker vehicles and can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would (other...
  11. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

Now I’m just as interested in the opposite direction. I thought this would be something highly valued by many given the type of vehicle. Iā€˜d say the majority of the comments have been along the lines of ā€œhey see that two headed guy over there? Can you believe he cares about arm resting height...
  12. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

I can tell by looking at a new Camaro I’d never want to own one so I’ve never even sit inside one. Give me natural light and site lines where I can see what is going on around me.
  13. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

I actually don’t have first hand experience in a modern Jeep but have been told the 1/2 doors are wonderful - thus I snuck the ? in.
  14. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

That picture actually looks concerning to me. That seems very high. It’s not comfortable if your arm is jacked up near your shoulder. That said, Iā€˜m not exactly sure where my arm is in relation to my body in vehicles that have what I consider low/comfortable sills. I’ll need to check that out.
  15. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

Yes, I would seriously consider not purchasing based on window sill. I have way too many cars (the signature line ran out of characters so I didn’t even list them all) so I don’t need a Bronco and shouldn’t buy one. So if it’s not near perfect for top down driving I may not pull the trigger...
  16. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

That is a good point that in all my driving years never occurred to me. Iā€˜m going to rate arm on the window on a scale of 1 to 5 Broncos (this may get confusing) with a Jeep 1/2 door being a 5 (is it the best?) Broncos. Given the clutch foot idea I’ll spot the Bronco 1 Bronco on the rating scale.
  17. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

In this day and age of car greenhouses imitating pillboxes, resting your arm on the open window sill is as endangered as manual transmissions. The Bronco side window doesn’t look particularly low. Thoughts on how well the Bronco is designed for driving with arm resting on the open window...
  18. Why didn't Ford offer rolling rear window?

I’ll bet the true answer to this is $.
  19. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

That is a really good ad but that isn’t a Bronco competitor. C&D is saying $70k to start, of course they don’t know, I’d bet more. So it will start well north of a fully loaded Bronco. GM is clueless, look at how they priced the Cadillac based on the Volt - the ELR was $76K in 2014 and then...
