Knowing how thin the sheet metal is in that bumper, I wish you luck if you ever need to use that bar for pulling or impact protection.
The 1.75" DOM tubing and steel plate we are using is plenty strong enough. If it were actually mounted to the bumper, the bumper itself would fail long...
I can appreciate the comment that it looks 'simple'. Alot of work went into getting it to look this minimal. So much so that we are now patent pending with it. I would put this bar up against any modular bumper bar or capable bumper bar out there. No other solution ties directly into the OE...
We have been making products in Maryland for a few years, like our EZ steps. Our mini bull bar will be ready for sale in the next few weeks. We have wrapped up testing and are ready for launch shortly!
The modular design is built around the shackles and bumper plates. We will have a solution for light mounting for both pieces so you aren't locked into buying more than you need.
The license plate is mounted to a bracket on the shackle, not the bar itself, lol
I think every air ride equipped vehicle running Viair would challenge that. There are quite a few here that have been abusing their portable Viair compressors for years and years. We chose quality and experience over the offroad 'standard'. I'd be willing to bet there are many times more Viair...
While these were designed using FEA analysis, we are in the process of testing these for validation as well. We are also going to test the OE modular bumper variants as well. We are looking out for your (and everyone else's) face!
Based on the install video, our system won't be compatible with that bumper relocation. And just to note, I wouldn't use your D-rings for vehicle recovery, the relocation bracket puts the D-ring in a position that could severely damage your frame horn. JMHO Good looking rig though!
