  1. Washout interior is a fail!!!

I think Ford’s biggest takeaway from this launch debacle is the need to manage expectations.
  2. Keyless Entry Keypad

But one of the primary selling points of the keypad is the ability to lock your keys (and phone) inside, go do some activity where they could get damaged/lost, then get back inside and drive away. It’s been around forever, but that’s not a reason to get rid of something that works. Iā€˜m not...
  3. In the future...some non car-person will call/think your Bronco is a Jeep...how will you respond?

They do to non-car people. You’d be amazed how bad it can be. When I was in college, I gave my roommate permission to borrow my car since his was in the shop. I was walking through campus with a friend when he drove past us and my friend wanted to know when my roommate got a new car. I had to...
  4. Lux package not worth it at all

I think having the CC light on the dash flash once you’re a certain mph below the set speed would be an easy change to program.
  5. In the future...some non car-person will call/think your Bronco is a Jeep...how will you respond?

The more I read some of the responses in this thread, I think the question should be rephrased as ā€œDrivers of certain cars have reputations for being total a-holes; how can we be one of them?ā€
  6. In the future...some non car-person will call/think your Bronco is a Jeep...how will you respond?

I’d just accept the compliment and be on my way.
  7. Bronco Roll Bar Strength

Looking at the video, the additional cage appears to be entirely on the inside of the stock cage. My guess is it’s a additional precaution should the stock cage fail. Considering it’s a preproduction vehicle in an extreme environment, Iā€˜m not concerned.
  8. Is "marine grade" vinyl interior any different from vinyl of the past?

I wonder how much hype the vinyl would be getting if Ford hadn’t tossed ā€œmarine-gradeā€ into the name. My hat’s off to the marketing team.
  9. Interesting Thought on Release, B&P, and Launch/Production

The theory this is all planned is a huge detachment from reality. Here’s why: Ford needs credibility more than anything else. The Explorer launch was a disaster and just about every industry analyst says Ford can’t go through that again. So why intentionally screw up another launch for...
  10. 4-Door Too Small?

It doesn’t sound like the Bronco’s for you. Go with the F-150 or Expedition.
  11. Hood Loops (Accessory Points)

Different types of attachments? I’d imagine the circles would be for bolts and the rectangle would be for webbing.
  12. Hood Loops (Accessory Points)

I think they’re attached to the fender. I’d be nervous of having whatever’s attached turning into a projectile in a collision. It’s too much of a liability.
  13. Lux package not worth it at all

I think the key point here is that ā€œluxā€ actually means something and the targeted buyers aren’t as price-conscious as buyers of the lower models. Be happy they’re around because the higher margins enable Ford to sell Broncos at the lower end of the spectrum. A few things to unpack here: 1...
  14. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

I think the fact there’s never been a fixed-roof Wrangler says something about the demand for one.
  15. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

It won’t be cheaper because you’d have to get a return on the development costs along with adding complexity to the production line. I also think the cost of the steel, insulation, headliner, etc. would be more than the plastic currently being used. On top of that, I think the SUV it would take...
  16. Ford. Give us a Sasquatch Badge.

That’s a pretty good idea. Iā€˜d rush it into production if I owned a center cap factory.
  17. Is the new Bronco a "classless" vehicle?

I think Broncos/Wranglers along with pickups are the only classless vehicles due to their utilitarian credentials. Sedans and sports cars max out at six (or even seven) digit MSRPs, so nobody’s cross-shopping a Camry with a 750i. There’s nothing comparable at a higher price point, so the buyers...
  18. Messin’ With Sasquatch (Ford)

Sooo... How many government watch lists are you on?
  19. WE WANT ALL COLORS 'MADE AVAILABLE!

Last I looked, it was $10k, then throw in another $10k for testing if it’s a color they haven’t used before.
  20. 4 door hard top woes

Could be. I’d rather have the soft top standard and leave the hard top and dual tops as options across all models, but who am I to be logical?
