Saturday (Oct 12) my wife and number 2 grandson went to the Bronco Off-roadeo in Tennessee. This was a fantastic event. Some of the trails seemed to go just about straight up and then straight down. Four wheel low the entire time. Used trail assist going down and also M manual mode and the...
  2. HD Modular Bumper now available from Ford Performance Parts

I find that interesting as I went from the cheap non-capable plastic bumper to the modular. It bolted right on. The only modification needed was not to the bumper but was removing the tow loops or cutting them off. I cut my loops off as removing them would really mean replacing them and the...
  3. Bronco Off-Roadeo Tennessee Becomes Fifth and Newest Location. Registrations Open Today

That's when my wife and I and Number 2 grandson will attend. Looking forward to it. From Tallahassee.
  4. Did you own a Jeep before Bronco?

And I still do. I've had this 1942 Ford GPW (jeep) since 1981. The Bronco is a little more comfortable. LOL.
  5. Full size Bronco??? Anyone… Anyone???

I set out to buy a new Bronco in 1978 and was disgusted to learn that they then looked like a sawed off pickup truck instead of the wondrous size and shape of the Gen 1. The 6G is just about perfect. Sure the two door looks more like it but for most the four door is more practical. Larger...
  6. Superwinch Hidden Winch Mount for Bronco

The Bronco Equipment Installation Guide indicates that putting something in between the d-ring mounts could be a high risk for "potential engine erratic behavior due to increased charge air temps." I often wonder if the companies that make these add-ons do air temp tests.
  7. PSA - Get a transmission skid plate or replace the plastic pan

I have a 2023 Big Bend, 2.3L mid package. It came will no skid plates. The first skid I purchased was the aluminum Mabett transmission skid plate because I had crawled under the Bronco and found that cheap plastic trans pan. Then I went with the aluminum ASFIR transfer case and fuel tank...
  8. DIY Guide to Removing the Soft Top and Installing the Hard Top by Yourself

I feel your pain. I wouldn't have been able to do this in the attached garage. I had Morton Buildings come at and built me a barn and office right after I retired. Before I even seriously thought about a Bronco. I used it to house my 1942 Ford GPW (jeep) and my then owned 2020 Colorado ZR2...
  9. DIY Guide to Removing the Soft Top and Installing the Hard Top by Yourself

I think that the 6 bolts in the cargo sides are the key. Make sure that the assembly sets right on the pins and that should be fine. The other area I experienced were the center brackets on the roll bar. Because I had a dual top, these appeared to have been just slapped on at the factory. I...
  10. DIY Guide to Removing the Soft Top and Installing the Hard Top by Yourself

2023 Big Bend, rear locker, mid package and the dual top option. Updated with modular bumper, winch and replaced the plastic rear bumper with a Fab Four. Neither top is exceptionally heavy but the soft top assembly weighs in at 101.96 pounds. That's more than I like to throw around in an...

So here we are and another thing followed me home. I added the B Pillar Trim Cover for the 4 Door 6G. Very easy to install but no instructions are included with it. There is a video on the Amazon page that gives you an idea how to do it. Of course, I didn't really think about going to the...

There is another.... BigBendBroncos (Facebook) has a group of about 100 members. Might be late notice but if you can make it , give it a try this evening 7/25 at Glory Days 630 PM. One of there members was behind me on 90 and followed me home. He said he like my Bronco and asked me about it...
  13. Why do we hate Auto Start/Stop so much?

Well, if it doesn't bother you, then that doesn't bother me that you are used to it. I really don't like the nanny state in my vehicle, especially if it is something I can defeat with little effort or cost. I also didn't like the Pavlov routine to remember to press the button to stop the AS/S...
  14. Share Your Hard Top Removal Tips and Tricks

I have a 23 BB 4 door. Mine came with the dual top option. Hardtop installed and awkard and heavy softtop stuffed in the back with the rear seats folded down. Which was funny because one of my grandsons when with us to "look" at Broncos. Traded in my 2020 Colorado ZR2 Bison diesel. Had the...

Seems like another week and another goody. I noticed that IAG finally released their soft top one hand release kit. As you know, you really need two hands to undo the hatch. This kit converts the latches to a single pull. Very nice. Pretty easy install. IAG has a good video to help with the...

Well, the cost is a thing to be sure. ARB Twin Compressor, Pump up Kit, and Digital Tire Inflator. $1235 Plus I added their Morrflate Quad (to inflate/deflate all 4 tires at once) $205. 4x4TruckLED had a Father's day special so I was able to knock off $155 with free shipping. I've only used...

Well that blows! And that's a good thing! 4x4TruckLED had a pretty good sale, I guess for fathers day. I bought the ARB twin compressor kit along with the KR Off-road engine bay bracket, air pump kit and the ARB Digital Tire Inflator. This was an "easy" install. Estimated to take an hour to...

@BobN - USAF I tested it again and this time it was a bit better. Shoved a pool noodle where it was banging and that helped. It also helped to retighten the rear straps as those were a bit loose. It really looks like it should have some connection straps over the rear seats to the roll bar...

Well, save your money. This sunshade definitely provides solid shade but I find it obnoxiously loud running down the road even at 45 mph. The cheap $40 mesh top was whisper quiet even at 65 mph.

I have a love/hate relationship with the soft top on my 23BB dual top. No instructions on how to do the initial install. I was able to figure it out with some help from the 6G folks. It was necessary to adjust the center brackets on the roll bar. After all that the rear passenger window panel...
