Saturday (Oct 12) my wife and number 2 grandson went to the Bronco Off-roadeo in Tennessee. This was a fantastic event. Some of the trails seemed to go just about straight up and then straight down. Four wheel low the entire time. Used trail assist going down and also M manual mode and the Bronco would climb down the trail just like a burro. None of my pictures do it justice. The trails would just drop off and you couldn't see nothing but the nose of the Bronco. You drive their Broncos, the one I had was a green Badlands. The vehicle behind me was a Everglades and their was a Wildtrak. A couple were two doors.

We were the lead Bronco so the guide rode with us. He would jump out and guide us through the gnarly rocks, deep mud troughs and such. He told me to pretend he wasn't in the vehicle unless I needed assistance. I only had to back up twice. Once was something like a 270 degree turn around a tree to get to the trail. The other was my Bronco slid into a four foot hole so after trying front and rear lockers, he had me back up and then passenger more and it climbed right up. That's the other thing. This was a Badlands with front and rear lockers. Most of the time it was just in four low. Once in a while rear locker and even less with the front locker.

During the trail run, we all stopped and one of the guides did a recovery presentation. First, what you should carry. Lots of water per person, 2 gallons?. track boards, he recommended four, static line for pulling and a snatch strap for jerking vehicles out. Safety was covered, don't let any body stand where they could be hit with a broken line. Didn't cover much about winching but did cover the snatch block that can double your line pull, etc.

After the morning run, it was time for lunch. It was street tacos that you DIY. Plenty of tea and desserts. They also had free snacks you could take with you on the trail. Then after the afternoon run they served dinner which were steaks, sort of like filet mignon size but covered in brown gravy and mushrooms. Chicken breasts were available along with some mashed sweet potatoes. More desserts and tea.

There is a merch store where you can buy sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, books, and doodads. You can also scan a barcode for a 20% discount on Ford Performance parts. OH, and if you are a member of Bronco Nation, they will give you a 10% discount on merch.

This was a wonderful experience and I had a blast.
