There is an interview with the designer, who offered some good insights into the design process. He mentioned they have only built around North American safety standards, and Bronco would not be offered elsewhere.
Good points. I believe the behavior of the turbos also changes with the different modes. So, while you could accomplish the vast majority of what that dial will do, there are a few neat features.
I wouldn’t say there is a “fault” with the Ford cap less system. I understand wanting to add an extra layer of safety. I put this in the same category as wheel locks. If it adds piece of mind, you will not see it as inconvenient. While it won’t stop somebody who is determined to do something...
I would feel better if you stuck with walking. Your world will open up once you realize you can live BETWEEN black and white. Can’t we all agree that this isn’t Ford’s fault? This isn’t the engineer’s fault. Heck, this isn’t even NHTSA’s fault. It’s the lawyer’s fault!
These not only prevent part of the truck from intruding into the cab of the vehicle, also keep parts of your vehicle from intruding into other vehicles. A part of your insurance premiums is based on the risk to others. All the engineers who say these are not necessary, just watch the video of...
I’ve installed heated seats on hundreds of vehicles. I would recommend sticking with the switch included. It will be required for the multiple heat settings. Easy to install the switch on the side seat trim, or center console somewhere.
As for the mirror - either add an aftermarket one (with...
Nope.
The standard burger is just a patty and a bun. Mustard and ketchup, lettuce, and onions are the only options. BUT you want pickles.
The deluxe burger includes mustard and ketchup, and lettuce. Onions are still optional. Now pickles are an option.
There is a picture of a bacon...
Dual tops are not an option available immediately. I’m going with a 4 door Wildtrak. I’m getting the MIC top with the truck. Not a fan of how the side windows wrinkle when lifting up the Ford soft top. Will see what the aftermarket offers for a soft top. Maybe some different/better options. Will...
Good sound is subjective. It’s also expensive! For a few hundred, you can add a big sub and amp. For 5 times that, you can have system that sounds good at (almost) any volume. The B&O sounds good, and is a good value if you value the other options included in that package. It is an...
You don’t supply voltage from the upfitter switch to the remote as implied. You would wire in a relay to connect the GDO remote’s switch input/output.
#85 = positive input from upfitter switch
#86 = ground
#87 = “output” side of GDO remote’s switch
#30 = “input” side of GDO remote’s switch...
Good to see this video. I’m getting a Wildtrak with the MIC top. I may get a soft top sometime later. This has interesting features. I’m curious what else may come from aftermarket.
I will have to watch how the Jeep soft top works, specifically the aftermarket ones. I would not be comfortable...
1) Bumper-mounted off-road lights.
2) Rock lights
3) Rear fog lights (amber)
4) Scene lighting (high sides/rear) - future
5) Empty
6) Solenoid for front and rear power leads (2AWG and 8AWG with quick connects) for various electrical accessories
Right about now, my dad would say “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.”
Unless the dealership is funneling money from another business into their dealership, ANYTHING you get YOU paid for.
All feature are configurable. Most beyond just on/off. Different “levels/methods”. My 2019 Edge has it. I like it after I configured it for my preferences.
I’m adding it. Wrap the proximity key in foil and hide it inside the vehicle, lock it up and go. I feel better about this whenever we do something around water. Canoeing, tubing, swimming at the lake... One less thing to worry about. It may not be the most attractive thing out there, but it...
