I also think the "all FE's will be built as MY21" will be a tall task. They basically have to ensure there are zero delays in their proposed timeline. Especially if they are doing on-road, DMB's and then FE tops.

How did you switch to a soft top if you already had a VIN? I have been told repeatedly that I can't do that.

@Nickp If I am a MIC top scheduled for 8/30 build week. The assumption is we all get moved? And can we switch to a hard top so we don't get pushed to the end of the year?

I spoke with my dealer today and they basically told me "nope sorry you are out of luck". Since I am "scheduled" they can't make any changes. Which is f*ing ridiculous @Ford Motor Company because we all know that date won't stick. Much like the 6 previous dates I was given.

What's really infuriating to me is that if they were open and honest about the MIC delays two weeks ago, I would have switched my Badlands MIC order (scheduled for 8/30) and now I am watching all the soft tops get scheduled for that week - knowing that mine will get pushed way out.

What do you think they are going to put on top of the First Editions? There are currently no good MIC tops. They need to be retooled and built from scratch which doesn't start until September/October.

Don't forget they have to replace all the MICs on the road, then the ones in the dirt pile before they even build your First Edition and put a MIC on it. I would target January for when you actually get yours (and mine).

So my guess here is they will pump out soft tops for six weeks for orders and dealer stock. My FE build that was scheduled for 9/6 week will move to sometime in October (assuming their six week timeline holds :rolleyes: ) And my Badlands with a MIC with an 8/30 build will probably be pushed...

We definitely get the info before our dealers do for the most part. Half the time I am filling my local dealer GM on what's going on. He calls this forum the G6 Mafia.
