Yeah it's so close to the hood latch. Really not a smart move, easy for someone unfamiliar with the vehicle to accidentally unlatch the hood when applying it.
I think the build fit/finish out of the factory is a bit inconsistent because some folks have reported them being pretty bad - but for me I don't have any that are noticeable and I've go over 16K miles on mine.
Most useful is probably the Husky floor liner set - front and rear. I can't imagine how bad things would look down there without them. Especially with the amount of rain we had over the winter.
Honestly, not much. Seems to quiet the static noise a bit by diverting a little less air directly to the top - but also seems to introduce a bit more turbulence up there as well so kind of a wash. At least with the MIC top and sunrider.
Have had mine on for about a week. The real test will be the next drive from San Diego to Phoenix next month with the spring bugs. Was hoping it would quiet the sunrider wind noise a bit, but I don't think there is much of a difference.
Not sure, honestly that's why I didn't get the Ford one because I would have had to let the Dealer install it and that's not how I roll...
I'm going to reach out to RC and see if they have any answers.
The instructions on their website are only for the install.
Honestly not sure, but I think it would be easy for for it to determine when it's getting power to the speakers. Hopefully not necessary to manually turn on and off - that would be a dealbreaker for sure. I know it has bluetooth, so I think possible to link directly to your phone/etc. when not...
Anyone try one of these?
Appear to be plug-and-play, just need to remove the pod speakers in the back:

I have one on my 2.3L, no cold intake or anything else. Not sure it did anything other than keep me from swapping paper filters every 10k miles, but I still think it's worth it. I thought the throttle response was a bit better at first, but may have been the placebo effect. Or I'm used to it...
I recently installed the Sunrider, and did all the mods suggested to quiet the wind noise (mine was leaking pretty bad, and the gap in the back was close to 1/2"). It's pretty good now, but I feel like the front latch brackets need to be a little lower to seal even better. I was thinking of...
Jeez. I've never had that problem before in other vehicles without that feature, and know how to de-fog my windows when necessary. Thanks Ford :cautious:
Question - I have the standard single-zone climate controls in my Big Bend.
Unless it's on all the way cold AC, the recirculate will revert back to allowing outside air in ever 30-60 seconds no matter what setting I choose.
Is this typical?
If not, is there a Forscan setting where this can...
