Been trying to decide on 4.46 or 4.7 with BL. I know this has been discussed a bunch, but why do it if you don't plan to go with larger tires? Isn't the 4.46 optimized for BL with 33s? Curious to know as this isn't my area of expertise and I feel like I need more information to make a decision...
I don't think it's worth it when it's only $800 more for Squatch. I want the optional wheels but with the A/T Tires. The fact that selecting the optional wheels doesn't force the M/Ts and additional $695 makes me think this is possible. Hope it's not a bug. Does anyone know for sure? Description...
Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to run 33s and 4.70 gearing? I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the 4.46 or 4.70 on BL with KO2 33s. I might upgrade to 34s somewhere down the road but don't know which gearing to choose. Will 4.46 be good for 34s?
EDIT: Just noticed someone else...
The "beverage holder" conundrum isn't really a conundrum. FE description says 8 because leather is STANDARD. OBX says 6 because cloth is standard and leather is optional, which is why we see the armrest on leather OBX fishing concept with (we assume) 2 additional holders. Beveragegate Case closed.
Remember, the wheels on the Overland concept were closer to to true 35s. Also, there is believed to be stiffer suspension with Squatch. While the amount of space in the wheel well does look very similar, @ClaviusBase makes a good point. Can't really gauge it properly from these photos.
In my experience, Ford TPMS works pretty well. Never had an issue, even with changing temps. The tires on my vehicles regularly flucuate between 33-37PSI and you can have this info permanently displayed in the gauge cluster area if you choose. You won't get a TPMS warning unless there's a...
I see what you're saying. I think it's just really poorly written. Like they're implying it's available but not stating outright that it's included when you select this option (#3). Really dumb.
Yeah I'm hesitant with the M/Ts. I'm leaning more towards the 33s with the optional wheel. If it looks anemic, I'll swap the wheels out later for 34 A/Ts or R/Ts. Without the extra Squatch height, I'm betting 34 will be the sweet spot. Just unsure about any necessary re-gearing or speedo...
I'm in the same boat as you. I really like the look of Squatch but I also really like the optional wheels on BL and I can't decide what to do. This will be a daily driver for me. I'm just torn because it's such a trade-off. The 33 A/Ts are a great tire and will do better in the snow and on-road...
In the same boat as you. Do I get Squatch and downgrade later if I want a quieter ride and better highway driving or do I get the 33s and upgrade later if it looks anemic on a 4 door? If I don't get squatch, I won't be adding a lift later so I would get 34s but the KO2s really are nice tires...
