I know the feeling.. killed an alternator on this run.. when in doubt throttle out eh? :D
We regularly ford rivers and creeks up to about 3ft deep.. just dont play in the mud quite as much any more
The gobi rack adds considerable volume above 70mph.. I feel like what drone this snorkel would add wouldnt overcome that of the rack.. Im still debating on gambling my fender to install one.
I might be willing to try it.. considering I already have a full rack, what’s another decibel or two? Just slightly out of budget range at the moment though
Mine is a december of 2021 build too. no recall showing up, so away i go, continuing to torture it... plus i have the extended 100k mile warranty, so not overly concerned
I was gun-shy after my first alternator took a dump in a nasty mudhole... I have hit multiple after that were just as bad, if not worse (first one after the incident made me pucker up a little)
The updated shielding seems to have fixed my issues, but im going to keep a spare onhand for $275 off...
I’m over between Daytona and st Augustine. They were forecasting between 3 and 6” of rain here, but we might have got 1” and 50mph sustained winds for a few hours. Not complaining, Perry got hit hard.
being taller in the rear is all my doing, it was pretty level up until the latest antics... I relocated the struts up 2", wife didnt mind the additional rake (even though it bugs me), so i didnt pull the 2" puck out.
I feel like the electronics wont be a big deal.. canbus speeds should be the same between the godzilla trucks and broncos.. on a high level, i feel like one could hook up the network wiring between the donor pcm and bronco harness, fix some vin mismatch issues, and rock on
I went the cheap route and did a rough country muffler delete on both our 2.3 and 2.7.. It has a very nice burble on the 2.3, and about 20% louder (makes sense mathematically) on the 2.7.
cold start is a little obnoxious, but running down the road is quite tame. zero drone from 40-75, a little...
You will only hear about the ones who bark about it. some mention the reservoirs build rust between them and the body, and fall off, which sounds like what happened to yours.
Im at 46000 miles on stock bilsteins and use/abuse them on a weekly basis. After reading about it, i do inspect them...
