Mine is the opposite. My phone appears before my partner's in the list, but the Bronco always connects to hers. I wound up just deleting her phone from the bronco for now.
What a stupid bug.
I originally thought that this might be the case, deleted my phone, added it back as the most recent device, and it still defaults to my wife’s phone when she’s riding along. I guess I could try deleting them all, adding hers, and then adding mine.
Randomly, the other day, I sat in the...
I was looking for something similar as well... RAM Mounts is what I usually use. They have a "claw" clamp that might work.
You could also get one of their angled bolt head adapters and stick it over one of the existing handle screws with a longer (~40mm) M6 screw to secure it in place.
I just added a 1/4" rubber mat to the top for more protection, grip, and because it'll just be easy to pull out and hose off when it gets dirty. I picked this up at Fleet Farm, but they also have it at Tractor Supply. It has a pretty gnarly smell, but I left it out in the sun for a couple weeks...
I think the only head scratching was figuring out exactly how I wanted it to be. Shape/placement of the door, what hinges to use, where to secure it, whether I wanted to wrap in vinyl/paint/bedline, etc. Otherwise, it's really just a lot of scribing, measuring (and re-measuring), and routing (I...
I removed the existing buckles and tucked em under the floor liner, like the goose gear instructions call for.
I also tucked the rear seatbelts into the panels by the roll bars and stuck a couple short M10x1.5 Allen bolts into the holes where the shoulder strap mounts.
haha. i'm located in des moines, iowa if you wanna come pick it up.
scribing it is pretty straight forward though! i just added a point to a piece of scrap wood, measured the variance of the cargo walls (~6"), drilled a hole for the pencil to poke through that far away from the tip, and drug it...
haha, i like to build and tinker as a hobby and for a personal challenge. i'm happy to provide tips and help, but i'm definitely not looking for a side gig at this point of my life. maybe when i hit retirement. :)
Yep. There's not much to them really... I just ripped a couple 1.5" strips of plywood, drilled 3 pocket holes into each and then glued + screwed them to the back of the vertical pieces. After that, I drilled 2 holes into each of those strips so that I could add the M8 threaded inserts, and...
The Allen M12s (and M8s) are very low profile. I did counter bore every hole with a forstner bit before drilling all the way through. All hardware is flush, or lower than the top of the plywood.
I'm sure you could get away with 48" and be fine. You might also find that the 4x8 sheet at the...
Yep! I removed that and the floor mounted D-rings to make the plywood sit more flush with the rear trim.
Side note: all of the bolts that you pull out leave exposed holes to the underside of the vehicle, so make sure to put those back. I swapped the rear d-ring bolts out for some lower profile...
I'm 5'11" and am able to lay down at an angle with the seat pushed all the way forward! Not something I want to do on the regular, but would definitely work for short trips.
I started with a 4'x8' sheet of plywood (which was ~1/2" strong on both sides), cut it to 48.5" x 53" and then scribed/cut from there.
The base is roughly 48.5" from front to back in the center, where the little bump out is on the hatch. You'll need roughly this length if you want supports that...
Alright, after some words from a very persistent sponsor, we're back.
Tonight, I installed the cargo platform that I've been working on as part of my rear seat delete. Plywood, hinges, bolts, and raptor liner. I plan to add a locking latch to the hatch and will likely keep a sheet of rubber on...
The rear bench seat of my Jeep spent most of it's life in a Christmas tree storage bag in my basement... and I had a similar plan once I traded the Jeep in for the Bronco. But I was pretty bummed to learn that it was a lot more work to add/remove the rear Bronco seats (bolts, sensors, and tools...
I ordered the modular pocket kit with the new SAE squadrons from Motoroso on June 5th, got them July 24th, and installed them yesterday. Great quality kit, great light output, and straight forward install.
Super happy with these!
Aaaand, back to our regularly scheduled program of my build thread!
I ordered the SAE fog/driving/spot light array from @Baja Designs a couple months ago, finally got them in, and installed today. I'm super, super happy with how they look and how they light up the road. The kit is just as high...
