I was told this a couple months ago when I inquired about why you can't choose a Raptor as the model you ordered. They told me keep watching for a Raptor event in the future.

Insane just depends on how many extra dollars you have. Hard to believe your dealer has any "unsold units coming in" people that have build dates just got pushed back again, most still waiting to be scheduled. Maybe they're setting you up for a 2023 to be ordered in Aug.

Just not feeling a 2023 Bronco Raptor, probably would have been scheduled for the Wildtrak already. Probably going after a Raptor R instead. Maybe dangle the Bronco as incentive for my dealer to get a Raptor R order in early.

Nobody knew much about Warthogs in 2021, once it came out that most allocations are going to early reservation holders it changed the situation for dealers. If they had an allocated Bronco Raptor to sell to you, a $10K markup would be extremely reasonable. You are not a reservation holder from day one of Bronco reservations, you are just a guy looking to purchase very popular vehicle that is in short supply, if you don't buy it someone else will.

Starting to look like the general consensus 3500 units estimate was way off, probably closer to 2000 '22 Raptors will be built. If I get pushed to '23 I doubt I'll wait, not interested in second year as a collectable. Maybe I'll pursue a '23 Z06, an F150 Raptor R would also be nice if Ford could...
