I'm wondering the same thing, If I had just upgraded to HOSS 3.0 on my Wildtrak order where would I be in line? We'll see, maybe the wait won't drag until the winter.
I've actually seen videos of Ford engineers stating this and explaining why they stuck with the 10R60 instead of the 10R80, they claim it had more parasitic losses, more weight and inconsistent shifting.

Performance on the trail and desert is more about consistent torque at a wide rpm range, this is what Ford has been saying they were tuning for from the beginning with Raptor specific turbo's, intake and exhaust mods. I'm fairly certian they could have squeezed 500 hp out of the 3.0L if gaudy...
I should have picked it up instead of taking free shipping, they bumped the shipping date twice, now it's on the way from Target warehouse in Colorado for delivery Friday.
Could be, I'm not sure if EPA and HP numbers need to be advertised before sales or be on the window sticker, I just wish Ford would give a clue as to what the holdup is and how long it will drag out.
No Raptors built for sale yet, there is obviously something holding it up. We still haven't seen EPA info on the engine either, maybe that's the issue.
They definitely want to produce them but actually haven't produced any for sale yet, we also haven't gotten the EPA or HP specs. I wonder if that has something to do with the delay as the first two or three weeks of production were rescheduled. As you said, they can produce the whole estimated...
