You sound like you have little idea what you are talking about. Who out there installs diff drop brackets with less than 2.5” lift from stock? On any vehicle? That little bit of lift doesn’t affect the angles enough to have to do a drop…
This is what I have been looking for. I like the Bilstiens that came with Sasquatch, and much prefer this to a spacer lift. Is there a B6G launch discount for the Pro Lift?
Most removing it are just doing it to be different. It doesn't look nearly as good with it deleted, but to each his own. You lose major functionality by not having a spare on the trail, and it looks much worse...but people will still go out of their way to do it.
Everyone continues to talk about the rack breaking, but I still have not seen it happening, not even one case outside of the guy who sells $30 nylon bushings to fix the “issue” for $400. Please, if someone else can point to a broken rack, please post it.
The big issue seems to be the tie rods...
This point is a bit ridiculous. Tie rods are ABSOLUTELY not designed to break to protect the rack. People refer to them as a fuse on here and it gets repeated, but that is absolutely not a design element. No engineer designs tie rods to break proactively.
Exactly. Well said.
Do you have MGV? I do, and the top and doors were off all summer. I just put them back on on Saturday, and the MGV was/is great. I am extremely happy with these seats...taking it to the beach, it is absolutely the best choice.
The top goes all the way back in late Spring and stays back all summer through early Fall, barring surprise rainstorm. We only pop it when we get unexpected warm days in spring and fall.
I wish you all would build a top that goes all the way back. It’s not really worth it with only the half...
These tires are not bad for what they are. Ford wanted a really lightweight 35 that was a A/T but marketed as an M/T. That’s what they got.
The GYs throw rocks. Otherwise they are solid. Good in snow, rain, great on road, quiet, balance very easily, good on rock, ok in mud…very similar to other...
OP can measure what he wants, but he doesn’t know how to measure. My GY measures at over 34” mounted. The spare mounted and measured correctly. When I had BFG “33s” they were actually 32s, significantly smaller than listed. These 315s are about like all 315s/35s.
I’ll measure the width when I...
Based on what measurements? BFGs are notoriously smaller than listed. Their 37…is closer to an actual 35. Their 285s are also significantly smaller than claimed.
Not sure what you mean here. The net gain is 25hp/18ft.lbs. That's it. No more. The numbers they gave for the tune are at 93 Octane, so if you are already running 93, that's what you get more (25/18). If you are running 87, you get about the same...probably a bit less. Either way, you can switch...
Underwhelming 25hp and 18 lb.ft. makes it not worth it. It's less than the change from 87 to 93 Octane produces...and that doesn't move the needle enough for $700+ install. It's disappointing, but I maybe they needed to keep the torque number in check to be under the rating for the transmission.
Does what have any benefit off road? Running 37s? Absolutely...major benefits. Lifting more than is needed to fit 37s? Some benefits, some drawbacks. The suspension lift gives much better clearance of the sprung parts of the vehicle. It improves approach/departure/break over angles...
C'mon man. @Ford Motor Company doesn't stand behind anything they say. Their word in public is about as valuable as spit on the sidewalk...as evidenced by this FAQ statement when people reserved:
