  1. What's the best purchase you've made for your Bronco under $200?

Mountains 2 Metal door pockets. Barely deep enough to hold my water bottle, which means they don't jab your leg like a lot of competing products.
  2. 2026 2 Dr Badlands Sport Mode

Stick shift it changes the throttle response and is supposed to make the steering stiffer, but I can't feel it. Auto, it does the above, and changes the shift points so it downshifts more aggressively and holds gears longer. Which, because of how turbos work, actually gives you better gas...
  3. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF, removal roof, retro styling to take on Bronco

5.0 Coyote is literally the Base engine on the XL trim F-150. You buy a landscaper spec F-150 and you get the V8.
  4. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF, removal roof, retro styling to take on Bronco

While obviously eliminating cylinder deactivation will improve reliability, the current GM V8 issue is they changed how they machine the rear crankshaft bearing channel. They removed a step to reduce manufacture time, and now the rear main bearing gets oil starved.
  5. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF, removal roof, retro styling to take on Bronco

Mustang has had frameless windows since 1964. As you say, not exactly new. I think the biggest issue is the safety BS. In 65 nobody worried about pinch sensors, just ran the windows up until they hit an actual hard stop. Difference between Ford and GM: Ford Recall = your stupid backup...
  6. 5 tire rotation is no joke!

Right Rear is your main drive tire. When in doubt, put the tire with the best tread on the right rear.
  7. 5 tire rotation is no joke!

I've been doing a 5-tire, but honestly I don't know why I bother. Can't remember the last time I wore out a set of tires rather than replacing them due to sun damage and dry rot.
  8. M ?

I also have a stick shift. But I would assume M (manual) mode works like every other Ford. You can cycle through the gears manually with the buttons on the side of the shifter. But, in theory, the computer still won't let you take it outside the safe operating range. Used it maybe twice in...
  9. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

Important to note that Bronco uses brake fluid for the clutch, and feeds from the same reservoir. So, drive it too far, and the brakes are going to stop working, because it's bleeding fluid. Started in C, shifted to 2 to drive to the shop. Neutral and coast to a parking spot.
  10. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

Yeah, considering upgrading to "Plus" now. But these are basically brand new vehicles we have (2020 and 2022). It's not like I'm still driving a 69 F-250. (though at least I could fix that myself)
  11. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

I have AAA. You get free hook-up and 5 miles. Or the closest AAA shop. My mechanic is about 20 miles. Ford Dealer is 10. Lost a water pump on an F-250 halfway between Barsto and Needles. That was a free 100 mile tow because that was the closest shop. Independent shop around the corner...
  12. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

Ok, it's not the clutch master cylinder. It appears to be some sort of hydraulic system adapter. Part number MB3Z-7A512-A https://www.oemfordpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/ford-hydraulic-lines-mb3z7a512a The cylinder has exploded and is leaking fluid. Dealer says it's not covered. Also they fix...
  13. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

Yeah, looks like a $65 plastic part. Plus a bunch of labor since while I can see it, it's not actually easy to access. There is a repair shop around the corner from work, I can start it and drive it there in Crawl without a working clutch.
  14. Clutch Master Cylinder? Exploded

Got in the Bronco to drive home from work, clutch went straight to the floor, clunk. Under the hood is a small cylinder looking thing that appears to be in two pieces. Clutch Master Cylinder? It moves a bit when you move the clutch pedal. Anyone else have this issue. And does Ford...
  15. Can I get owner insight/advice?

People say this, but I'm not sure I have ever owned a car that got better gas mileage than the Bronco. A couple Mustangs were better on the Freeway, but worse in town.
  16. Can I get owner insight/advice?

Ford is pretty aggressive about recalls, but not a single one has been worth my time to even care about. Yesterday I got an OTA update to the infotainment system that is supposed to fix one of them. Remember, recalls have ZERO to do with reliability. They are due to "safety" issues that the...
  17. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

When was that? I had a 65 Mustang with one side mirror. Had a 2nd one that had two side mirrors, but I think the second was was probably scavenged from a 66 or 67 because it didn't quite match. Didn't have backup lamps until 66 either.
  18. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

My 69 F-250 had a manual choke. My little sister couldn't start it. Mom had to show her how. She still doesn't know what a choke is or does mind you, just "the little lever you have to pull out to start old cars"
  19. 2028 Jeep Wrangler Scrambler

Under 50k, with a stick shift, and this is VERY interesting.
  20. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

I'm 53, and call the accelerator the "skinny pedal"
