Yep - doesn't bother me.
Pulling the top back from an SUV? It's going to pile up in the back.
That's physics. Or geometry. Or some other math I don't know.
I could never make a soft top that retracts invisibly. But given almost THIRTY YEARS I could darn sure make a black hard top.
:giggle:
If I could see a video of the soft top working, I might skip the insanity of a MIC hard top. And embrace the "Soft Top Life."
At least until the black modular hard top is available.
Something else, besides GVWR is going on. For example, you can't add Paint Protection Film or roof rails to a Badlands 4 door with 2.7 engine. But you CAN Sasquatch it.
That can't possibly be a GVWR issue.
But it's clearly an issue - we just don't know WHY. (n)
That makes sense to me, but no PPF?! How much could that possibly weigh? Something's funky here.
What's next, they won't add the remote start fob, or floor mats, because of the weight? :p
Or maybe I need to step on a scale before getting in?
This confirms no sound deadener with a 4-door/2.7L in the Badlands. Not a B&P bug.
Also no PPF/no brushguard/no roof rails with 4-door/2.7L. Regardless of Squatch.
WTF.
Are you in my brain?
I went Wildtrak initially, then down to a Big Bend, to an OBX, and finally to the Badlands.
I'll be paying for some stuff I won't need, but maybe I'll grow into it!
And the idea of 33s over stock is great.
This is 100% correct. Rather than throwing in the MIC top for free, they should give you an option to take a free soft top and pay for the modular black hard top to be shipped later.
Agree. It's so close to the console! It's an easy engineering problem to solve for, by the designers.
Additionally, as seen in the last pic, the floor mat diverts some of the air. Inefficient.
