Oh man i remwmber my delivery day, had to take kids to the doc in the morning 2 hours away before i could get to dealer. Longest waiting room moment of my life!
Hand start the bolts when youre putting them back on dont use impact until they screw in a bit...had a tire shop cross thred 3 bolts and just shrugged and said the rim was faulty.
Every last drop, id figure spend a few minutes getting intimate with my bronco now to save time in the future epsecially if i have alot of junk back there. 90% of the time the seats are folded down and have gear in the back. Who knows if its easier than i think ill document and share if it ends...
Ive thought of this as just a simple idea too but i was ultimately wanting to prevent climbing back there to unlock it. Having a remote lever close to the front looks like an easy run and the parts total would be under 20$ it looks like.
Ive been messing with the idea of running a bike brake cable to infront of my rear seat on passenger side using the the same holes the power goes through. Seems easiest to reach and cheapest solution.
So far the only thing i have come up with is attatching a wire to that lever through the slots in the panel and putting a pull handle on the other end. If no power at least in a 2 door the climb to reach it isnt so bad.
I was in the same boat as you OP. Ended up putting on km3 bfgs without any spacers or lift. No rubbing normally only small fender marking when i go full articulation.

Happened to mine here in south texas, usually never had any problems then one cloudless day i opened the hood and sure enough it was caught. I didnt go to far so not much damage but for sure the clip is broken, havnt taken it in since im sure itll happen again and i hear there may be aftermarket...
Ive had the same tires and size for about 6k miles. Noticed almost no difference in mpg. Got 24 on the highway even. Love the grip they give in the mud and sand.
So it was in a driveway, at a house? And you didnt get the cops to arrive with proof your car was at that house to make an arrest? Or at least grab photos of people getting inside? How long did they have it?
Possibly the gearing is so tall it doesnt create as much drag on the drivetrain to be as noticeable compared to others? Also brake pads are cheap and easy to replace why would you want additional strain on the gears? I just pop it into neutral if im coming up to a red and coast and apply brakes...
