Orange, hence "the bus".
This isn't exactly a "jaw-dropping"-caliber build thread, but more of a documentation of accessories that I add on to my 4D Badsquatch, requiring merely a basic level of mechanical aptitude and some everyday tools.
So far I've added some Rigid 4" ditch lights, a Ford...
@_jeff Do you have a 2D or 4D? I'm okay putting the sliders and underbody armor to use, and as a Badlands my Bronco comes with both lockers; I'm not sure if ALL Broncos come with at least a rear locker?
I just signed up for the Cal4Wheel High Sierras Poker Run for the Labor Day weekend (taking Friday off to drive out there). Would anyone care to join? We'll be heading down on Friday, and returning Sunday, with a day of rest at home on Monday...
Does the Larson antenna come with a base (that attaches below your bracket) and coax cable? I'd guess that a 10-ft. long coax would be plenty to go through the firewall and to the radio.
@omg_bbq Nope - going at a normal/leisurely pace, it's over in about an hour... in both my 2019 Ranger FX4 and an older Nissan Frontier. It's really easy, 10 miles long or so.

The LCC trail is rated easy (and it was) - washboard and light sand, with some dried-creek crossings. This trail was deserted but fun enough that I let me 14 year old drive most of the...
@Rkeally Do you mean "San Diego"? Nice as a city, but nowhere to offroad. We ended up driving into the desert at Borrego Springs and Ocotillo Wells SVRA - the dunes and sand got deep enough that I became worried, being the lone vehicle out there in 103-degree heat with family in the vehicle. We...
@omg_bbq There's not much in Santa Cruz, but there's Old Coast Rd. in Big Sur (basically a fire road, but pretty vistas of the ocean - link: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/the-old-coast-road), and of course, Hollister Hills SVRA to the east, which I've done a number of times, in a...
@Carbnight For now, what would work for me would be the RC winch mount (higher for better approach angle), coupled with a JCR camera relocation kit, which installs on the winch's fairlead. I'm planning on a Warn EVO winch. This setup would allow all of my sensors and cameras to work properly...
