If it's anything like Jeep hard tops, there are bolts to hold down the hard top in the Bronco too. And those bolts are only if you want to completely remove the soft top, which I won't be doing hardly. That's the whole reason to leave the soft top attached - to always have the top with you...
Car soft tops are different. There's a false wall in the trunk that typically stores or hides the folding mechanism and motor for the automatic top. The open cargo area of an suv doesn't allow for this same type of top operation. And yes, soft tops aren't for everyone or for every season. I just...
Some of you guys have never experienced a soft top off-road vehicle like a Jeep and it shows. This is about as good as it gets and you think a hard top would be easier? Good luck taking that rear clamshell on and off by yourself - without tools or within the same amount of time as dropping down...
I switched to Stephen's and when I hung up the phone with Ford, I got two emails - one from Ford confirming my reservation was switched and one from @StephensAutoCenter welcoming me to the dealership. I'm pretty sure they were all automated reply emails, but when I responded to Stephen's email...
Switch made! Just like everyone said, quick and painless call with Ford and practically immediate email confirmations from both Ford and @StephensAutoCenter confirming the details. The better half and I will fly from MI down to SC (her favorite vacation spot), stay there a day or two, then rent...
Good to know, and I by no means meant any offense for classifying Stephen's as a "small dealership". I can only base things off the mega mall local dealer I have near me. It is kind of funny to step foot in one of their four buildings they have here (One for each of the big three manufacturers...
So my local dealer said they can offer $500-$750 off MSRP after telling me they couldn't match Stephen's or Granger's deals. This may be a rhetorical question, but is that a deal I should take? Depending on plane ticket pricing next summer, we may end up spending about a grand in travel and...
I've been trying to find proof from Ford that they are beadlock capable but haven't found it yet. I always assumed they were fauxlocks. They did look better, that's for sure, but imo I wouldn't pay the extra price for those wheels AND the 33" mud terrains if I'm eventually going to aftermarket...
@StephensAutoCenter Who determines if lease plans will be available? Ford or individual dealers? Granger said they're not offering leasing programs to out of state customers. Will you guys be following suit?
Not trying to give Ford more benefit of the doubt, considering how much they seem to be dropping the ball on this launch, but I wouldn't necessarily place all the blame on Ford for overselling - if that's what it really is. Perhaps they really could fulfill all the orders on time if everything...
Not really feeling the body color flares in the CO color. Instead of it being School bus yellow, I'm seeing a taxi. Might have to change my mind and go with Area 51 now.
Not to argue and I'd love to be proven wrong, but if they're only testing vehicles that are going to be trashed anyway, then why do these units have the signature lighting on them if it's not a necessity?
I'm sure I'm reading too much into things. Like I said - bored and impatient :giggle:
