  1. How Hard is it to Drive Manual Bronco Uphill In City and Offroad?

The Bronco manual is the easiest I’ve ever driven. And I’ve been driving manuals for almost 50 years. Everything from 3 on the tree trucks to Porsches. The Hill assist feature takes the drama out of hill starts. The dash displays what gear you are in. These are features I’ve never had the...
  2. Would you buy a Manual Bronco now?

No noise. 7000 miles at almost a year. I wouldn’t have gotten a Bronco, unless it was manual shift. But I’m very old school. If your buying decisions are based on what might go wrong, you should probably be buying a Toyota and not a Ford.
  3. New 2023 Badlands today

I’m happy with IAG steps and mud flaps.
  4. BL non vs SAS

SAS is definitely a ripoff on the BL. Nonetheless, I paid ifor it and don’t regret it. I’m not gonna do a lot of mods. Maybe a winch and maybe tie rod upgrades. Goodyear tires have been ok in sand and mountain passes (Imogene) but I’ll eventually replace with tires with sturdier sidewalls. The...
  5. Bronco First-Year Review Pics & Video : Couldn't be any happier!

Enjoy the road trip. The following are spots near your journey which would be considerably less traveled. Tuweep on the the North Rim of GCNP. Spectacular views of the river. I also suggest trying to get into “The Wave,” which is part of Coyote Buttes North (BLM Land) on the Utah/Arizona border...
  6. Bringing Bronco & Jeepers Together Over Off-Roading

As a crazy and ignorant teen, I did shit in a VW Thing that I’d never due to any vehicle I own now. That little RWD SOB with a rear mounted engine would go just about anywhere that a 4WD rig would go. It was damn-near indestructible. And although my Badlands has rubber floors with drain plugs...
  7. I Still Love my Bronco

I’ve had mine 9 months. It’s not my daily driver, but I’m usually driving it outside of work. My high points were driving the 120 mile round trip trek of Padre Island National Seashore, and taking to to Colorado where I drove Ophir and Imogene passes.
  8. 🚨 Bronco leads police on chase in Cripple Creek Colorado

Of course, soon after we left Victor, descending fairly steeply, the low fuel light came on. Although still early in the morning, the kids were awake now and terrified. All I could think about was making it to a gas station and how up shit creek (and down from Cripple Creek!) we’d be if we ran...
  9. 🚨 Bronco leads police on chase in Cripple Creek Colorado

About 15 years ago (pre-nav days, at least for me)I took a wrong turn between Aspen and Colorado Springs and wound up in Cripple Creek. The wife and I, with five kids in the Suburban and a bunch of bikes on back, consulted our Atlas and saw a road to take us south, to rejoin our route to get us...
  10. After 2.5 years, I got my Bandlands!!!!

Congratulations! Awesome rig. I recommend IAG steps and front mudflaps. Both are reasonably priced.
  11. Love it or laugh at it?

Looks like a good rig to go drink a Piña Colada at Trader Vic’s.
  12. I got lucky tonight...

Based on your thread’s title, I expected to be reading about a dear, not a deer.
  13. Hi! I’m new here! Order question

I talked to the guy I bought mine from 2 days ago. Asked about ordering another one and he said the order bank was closed and he didn’t know when it would reopen.
  14. Dual Tops - worth ordering?

If you want a factory hardtop, make sure you order it versus waiting to buy it later. The salesman I ordered and bought my Bronco from (at MSRP) said that currently to separately order a factory hardtop will run $9-10K. I was speaking to him yesterday about the Broncos he has in stock. My adult...
  15. Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro - Not impressed

Any individual car can be reliable or a POS. I’ll give my opinion based on having driven pretty much everything, as the son of a used car dealer, and 63 years under my belt. If you’re playing the odds, a Toyota is less likely to strand you than other makes but will cost more. You’ll be able to...
  16. North Rim Grand Canyon the last week in April. I need some general information from people in the know?

If you’re in Kanab for a couple of nights get up early the first morning for the lottery to get into Coyote Buttes North to see the Wave. The lottery is held the day before you can enter. Only 20 people per day are allowed. It’s about an hour’s drive from Kanab and about a 4-5 mile round trip...
  17. ERUPTION GREEN Bronco Club

Enjoy!! I hit Olympic, North Cascades and Mt. Rainier NPs in August, but coming from Texas, that was too far of a journey in too little time to make in the Bronco. I was able to do some great off-roading on some mountain passes outside of Telluride in July. You’ll have tons of great terrain...
  18. North Rim Grand Canyon the last week in April. I need some general information from people in the know?

I spent time at the North Rim Lodge about 15 years ago. The rooms were tiny but the main lodge was awesome, affording incredible views from the lodge itself. There are some easy, yet beautiful hikes from the lodge. The north rim only get 10% of the visitors as the south rim. The views are...
  19. Took my Bronco to Yosemite a day after it snowed. Incredible!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. I’ve been to Yosemite in every season except Winter and would love to get there during that time. The Yosemite Valley gets my vote for the prettiest place on earth.
  20. Christmas Eve - Pismo Beach

Very nice. Pismo is a beach that seems to stretch forever.
