I'm a beer guy and Xul in Knoxville is nice, but if I were O-H-I-O like you I would probably head to Vermont as they are known for beer even if they are a bit overrated.
We've talked about doing the Range Rover Experience in VT as it used to have a discount for good Chase customers, but I...
TN for us was ruts, lot of water/mud(raining bucket before), and a few rocks. Never did I feel sketchy in hitting/breaking anything and I'm a beginner. Definitely still a fun course, but on the slow side as you are following the Bronco in front of you and they aren't going faster than 10mph...
We did TN and we are both neophytes and found nothing challenging. I maxed out at 14 mph on the trails which you can't consider high speed. My wife who daily drives the Bronco didn't even go that high and she is a lead foot easily doing 5-10mph faster on highways.
I wonder how different Moab...
We drove one and realized it was unnecessary as a future pavement princess.
For us it is ordering the dual tops. I didn't understand the effort to switch tops. Definitely not a single person job and hard top storage takes of considerable room. My soft top is still sitting on its original...
I would spend money on almost any feature besides power seats. We've had them in a few cars and don't get excited about. Ventilated/cooled seats would cost the mfg less than powered seats.
We have 7MT so we never had that option plus we have phones that don't support that.
My wife's first...
I'm a software developer. Most of the times the feedback I get from internal users is inactionable or too complex, but sometimes I can make a 5 minute fix that saves them an hour each week for the rest of the time they are in that position.
Sorting through the clutter is hard, but sometimes...
I wished I lived in a climate this made sense like San Diego. In Chicagoland it either seems to hot-humid or too cold or too stormy for topless/doorless. Our August has also had severe microburst thunderstorms almost every other day. Unpredictable and pretty severe to the point it is...
I'm not sure what assist the Bronco provides exactly, but my 201X VW Jetta/Golf both had rollback protection where it would apply the brake on hills automatically to prevent rollback. These had conventional handbrakes as far as I could tell. None of my other manuals prior provided that.
I...
I was thinking the same thing where is the ROP. Convertibles now have to have the pop-up rollbars and that is something that takes quite a bit of space.
We've only done the remote orders for manual transmission vehicles as for the models we were looking for there were so few. I drove from Wilmington, NC back to Chicagoland for a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo and my wife drove from Tulsa, OK back to Chicagoland for our current 2012 Nissan XTerra with 233k...
The Bronco stick is super easy. Almost entirely Asian sticks in my history and this was the first American stick and it was a super easy transition. Clutch is fine also. Overall Ford did a great job with the usage of this transmission. Hopefully the reliability follows as my wife got...
I wonder if the forum should be split into groups based on habits/likes:
2-door as the people who own those are cultish/originalists
Manual transmission another cult
Off-roaders
Pavement Princesses
Decked out or modified
Daily drivers which I think it is different than the Pavement Princesses...
Finally somebody who drives their Bronco.
My wife's has 20,974 and she picked it up November, 2024. She will be out of base warranty before 16 months old and her yearly mileage will increase likely averaging 30k miles per year in the future as she hasn't been doing her normal western...
Interesting, in '24 we bought a BB specifically as none of the other trims had any features we were interested. We added a package to get heated seats, but otherwise everything else was appearance or off-road and no actual features/technology.
Note: They did change content quite a bit...
Our dogs have jumped out of sunroofs and could easily jump out of an open roof. They can be insane as I've had them jump INTO open car windows. Border Collie and a Australian Shepherd.
Obviously I know the arrow, but having to look each time is annoying. With reverse as soon as my hand touches the stick based on feel I almost never have to look down.
Door unlocking is also a difference between the vehicles. How many clicks gets all doors open? I know that can be...
