  1. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

I can deal with the occasional fail, as long as I’m not stranded horribly. Even Toyotas will eventually have problems, although statistically less than other makes. My issue is when a car requires multiple trips to the shop in a relatively short time frame. Especially, when the repairs are...
  2. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? šŸ‘ØšŸ»‍šŸ”§šŸ§°šŸšæšŸ›

No pictures to show, but I did just have the Severe Duty Steering rack and tie rods installed.
  3. Manny tranny owners, would you do it again?

No problems. 16K miles. Crawler gear rocks, just wish I had more opportunity to use it. Had a blast with it in Telluride (Imogene Pass) and Canyonlands (Elephant Hill Road).
  4. Hope this wasn't a Bronco owner

WTF is wrong with people? I can forgive the guy who toppled the tower since he turned himself in and had no ill intent. But thievery? A little Old Testament or Medieval treatment seems in order.
  5. Hope this wasn't a Bronco owner

The Tram is on the National Register of Historic Places and Death Valley in one of 63 US National Parks. I’ve been to Death Valley and 46 other National Parks. I have not seen any signs in any of them to drive wherever you want to. There are some great and challenging roads in many of our...
  6. Moab Meetup Day 1 Journal: Elephant Hill Rd 4-29-24

At 27 on the map, you had to continue straight (north), instead of going right (east). It adds several more hours onto a long, but wonderfully memorable day. At the end of the road, you have to hike about a half mile to get to the overlook. You all have a good reason to return.
  7. Moab Meetup Day 1 Journal: Elephant Hill Rd 4-29-24

Elephant Hill is big fun. My daughter and I did it last June and I can’t wait to go back. It’s sounds like you did not make it to the confluence overlook of the Green & Colorado Rivers. It is definitely worth checking out. There is a well-known rock obstacle along the way that will definitely...
  8. 40th Birthday Northwest Road Trip - CA -> NV -> ID -> MT -> UT -> NV -> CA (Advice/tips/recommendations appreciated!)

I agree that you shouldn’t miss Yellowstone. I would enter the park from the Roosevelt Arch, near the town of Gardinner, very early In the morning to get a jump on traffic. From there, do a little research as to the way you want to drop down through the park on the way to Jackson. The pass to...
  9. Bronco Off-Rodeo locations comparison?

I live in Austin and have done the Off Rodeo here. It’s about 45 miles west of downtown and many out-of-towners stay at nearby Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ. The town of Marble Falls, bisected by Lake Marble Falls is about 15 minutes away. Fredericksburg is about an hour away and would score...
  10. The Most Common Bronco Colors You See? šŸŽØ

Lots of EG out there, including mine. IMHO, it’s the best green on a vehicle this side of British Racing Green.
  11. Carpet removal on the rear seats

IAG Velcro mats work well, if another solution is not to your liking. I’ve had them in for over a year and never think about the carpet. It’s moronic that Ford put carpet on the back of these seats in rigs with essentially waterproof seats and floors.
  12. Bronco Market Share down to 25%, while Jeep is 40% and 4Runner 35%

I’m two years in (15K miles) with my ā€˜22 Badlands Mansquatch and I plan on keeping it a long time. But that’s because it’s my toy, while my ā€˜13 Land Cruiser with 178K miles is my daily driver. With that said, Ford went cheap on the steering, interior and instrumentation. I have ordered the...
  13. Picking up 24 Bronco tomorrow...

There’s a good chance your tires will be overinflated. There’s no reason to run them higher than recommended and your ride may improve if you run them a few psi under the recommended. If you drop the inflation too much, the low tire light will come on. Enjoy! Odds are your rig will be perfect!
  14. Seats: MGV or Leather

I like the MGV. My rig is 2 years old with 15K miles and the seats look like new. I’m a big fan of leather, but it’s nice that I don’t have to worry about these seats like I would leather. They do get hot in the summer though. Black leather would also, but probably not as much.
  15. National Park Pics... Show Yours!

    Tuweep, North Rim GCNP
  16. National Park Pics... Show Yours!

Canyonlands(Elephant Hill Rd.) White Sands(Allali Flat Tr.)
  17. Trip to Asheville (recommendations?)

Jettie Rae’s Oyster House and the Biltmore.
  18. Any decent bronco key fob covers

Although the thought of an extra step with a Faraday pouch to get in and out of my car is not appealing, neither is the thought of a stolen car. My future son-in-law just had his new TRX stolen in broad daylight while at work in Dallas.
  19. 2024 2dr. 7 MT Badlands delivered, but Ford withheld options

I’d get the wheel locks, whether from Ford or aftermarket. If nothing else, at least for your spare.
