Unless you’re drag racing, which a bronco isn’t really the vehicle to use, then I don’t see any reason you actually need a tach, and even then probably better to install a shift lift and not rely on the tach. A lot of manual vehicles I’ve driven don’t have a tach at all. My first car was a 68...
Fair enough, but as I said, the engine for the Raptor has as much to do with it as the off road orientation. Even without the off-road bits it doesn’t increase by much at all with the same engine. Not saying the off-road doesn’t affect it, but trying to compare bronco to Raptor you gotta account...
Thats dependent on the year and cab size for the Raptor though. 1st gen Raptor had I think as high as 1700lb payload at some point, and the 1000lb payload for 2020 is on supercab. Super crew is 1200lbs payload(also 8k tow cap super crew vs 6k tow cap on super cab). And being the higher output...
A 4 cylinder that has about the same or more hp and torque than any engine in any previous bronco. And is saying it’s a measly 6 cylinder much better to anyone that you would hate to tell its a 4 cylinder?
It’s the same way from black diamond to badlands and from badlands to first edition and from big bend to outer banks and really from base to big bend as well. What you really mostly pay for is the ability to add more options(and cost) with mainly minor differences otherwise. Especially if you’re...
This is a thread from July, only a few days after the bronco reveal and start of reservations, there was no build and price and barely any info about anything...
As others have said, there’s various security measures still in place for remotely started cars. Namely you can’t actually put it in gear without the car turning off if the fob/key isn’t in the car. There are still some flaws in some versions of it but none likely to make the car easier to...
Oh I’m all for makin it your own. I’ve added heated seats to multiple vehicles myself(2 of my motorcycles even have heated seats) and plenty of other things added myself that either weren’t options from factory or cost too much so I did myself(or added things I didn’t want so I did it myself)...
As opposed to the $5k you have to spend for a 2 door bronco to go from base to a trim that offers mid package, and still not get the heated steering wheel with it but be buying other stuff you might not want? Neither offers heated seats for the very bottom tier. At least Jeep lets you get them...
No manufacturer offers It with manual but not all of them make you pay for it anyways. Some change the package/option cost when adding to a manual trans since you don’t get remote start. Some, like ford on the one bronco trim you can add any packages to with manual trans, don’t change the price...
Actually if you want manual trans and heated seats it’s a much larger price jump since ford decided you can’t add mid package to anything with manual except badlands. For the price jump from 2 dr base to badlands+mid you’re 2/3 the way to a second 2dr bronco base.
Thats cause it is a cj. Mahindra had a contract with willys to make the old cjs for india, so its literally evolved from jeep blueprints. I think the legal trouble with jeep recently is pretty much only because they brought it to the US.
I'm not saying I agree or care either way. I'm just saying the guy literally said badlands standard suspension and badlands squatch suspension are "very close" and "they are the same suspension" so hows that sound like a bigger difference than from base to badlands?
I'm not team either, but if you're going off what the guy in the sema vid said his word for word(minus some "ums" and mumbles, and responding to question of "whats the difference between standard badlands suspension and sasquatch badlands suspension") was
"They're actually very close. They're...
True, if you can live without the heated steering wheel it's bit cheaper, but even just the seats are locked in the mid package, if that's literally all you want youre still forced to pay more to get other stuff and then left without the heated steering wheel to match for the extra cost. And why...
Yes and no. All manufactures do the package deal to some extent, but not the same way. A lot actually have just a cold weather package as its own thing, not locked into 2 other more expensive packages. If all you want is heated seats and steering wheel and remote start, other manufacturers can...
Also for those saying it “has” to stay under 6k to compete with the wrangler... the wrangler 4xE will probably be over 6k gvwr. Seen multiple sites saying it’ll have 1200lb payload, but lightest weight of 5k, so that would be minimum 6200lbs gvwr. And who knows where the new 392 wrangler will be...
Built in China vs built in USA means almost nothing on its own. Both countries turn out some great products, both countries turn out some crap products, and everything in between. Simply where it’s made doesn’t determine that. Plus it’s not like the auto isn’t going to have Chinese parts on it...
Im still not yet convinced bout over $70k starting price. Grand Cherokee had Eco diesel option in the past alongside the SRT, and SRT on grand Cherokee and Durango come with the same kinda extras standard apart from lift and beadlock wheels. Prices are very similar between all 3 models for trims...
