Yes, I used 5W30 like I was supposed to. The service department at the dealer requested a receipt for the oil I purchased I guess as proof of what I bought and didn't add any additives

I don't remember if I have a maintenance package in my warranty, but after this maybe I'll have dealership do my oil changes so I can cover my ass on warranty if something goes sideways again

I saw a list on the forum, and yes I do believe that it meets the spec because the back of the jug says it meets some ford spec. I have every intention of duking it out with ford or the dealership. I dont mess around with my money

That's what I do as well, get it from Walmart. I wound up doing the Motorcraft filter because I'm a bit paranoid any warranty work would be denied if I used anything else

Yes, I used 5W-30 oil, 6 quarts I believe. I'm wondering if like you said it was mislabeled or a bad batch. They may not have wiped the lipstick down before taking the pictures, because I didn't overfill it

Thanks all who have replied. So far it sounds like my oil isn't the culprit unless it was a bad batch. I'm also wondering if our recently cold overnight temperatures in SC could cause that. The below picture is another one the service advisors sent me yesterday

If a head gasket blew it would look like a milkshake. Are you saying it's possible someone poured something into the gas tank?

You arent the only one with this issue. It has affected me since I've had the bronco. The new software update seems to delay it more. Still doesn't make me hate that sound any less

Will definitely try this tomorrow. I fucking hate that sound when it does that after my regular notification sound plays
