2.3L OBX automatic
Normal mode driving the speedometer display is clean and easy. In Sport mode, there is a horizontal red line that floats around behind the MPH shown.
I looked through the manual but didn't see anything obviously related.
What does that red line track?
I have a 100% reproduction on a low speed hard right turn followed by a fast steering wheel spon back to neutral, I'm pretty sure that the turn signal stalk controls are too heavy for the detent meant to hold it centered.
That and I'm always down for a good necropost.
I'm really only interested in a great rearview camera view, without all the extra dash-cam recording malarkey. It seems like an underserved market, and since I've already got a nice recording dash-cam a market I can't buy into. (technically these 30/60 resolution numbers are very hard to...
Today I put on my new lic. plates. I grant that it's not boring like 4-wheeling up Lincoln's nose at Mt Rushmore or using the soft-top to base jump from Devil's Tower... but I'm a risk taker.
The parking brake that's hidden by the steering column, which way do you even push or pull to park, all the while praying that I don't open the hood release that's also right there in the dark 😉
Acceleration from a constant force (aka gravity rolling down that hill) is per-second-squared, which implies that once that steel sled gets rolling it only gets worse until it gets worser. 😳 and quickly becomes worsest.
Big payoff, engineering changes items:
AC/Heat better ducting and fan pressure to passenger seats
Seat Tilt added to the adjustments, without needing to jack it up on washers
Digital instrument cluster, this bizarre/expensive mix of analog is limiting
Parking brake placement needs to be really...
For the same reason that I don't use cruise control, even smart adaptive; my car, my rules. I don't trust it especially during the break-in period on a new engine, or the first mile or two before the engine has reached stable operating temperature.
In the end, cars are about feeling, and I...
I braved the deep forest roads and discovered that eruption green is actually really good camouflage. PS: the grandkids approve and think that it's fun; mission accomplished.
I've had 2 mustangs in the past, the last one with FRPP suspension. I now enjoy bouncing around in my 2dr OBX and smile every time I ignore a speed bump or steep driveway entrance.
Plus sitting up high I can now actually see the traffic around me instead of guessing 🙃
