Agreed but FJ Cruiser was also hit hard by the fact that they were butt ugly and did not have a removable top. The manual transmission throw was ridiculous. The 3rd door for the back seats was a tough negotiation. On the hood side, that V6 was strong. Toyota really fumbled that.

I am of the same mindset. I have the 2.7 on order and my lucky lot find is a 2.3. It has enough power. The word sufficient fits that motor well. I’m excited to see how well the 2.7 does

You’re not wrong. Badlands on 33s looks pretty nice. As far as trail capable there isn’t a great deal of difference in 33s and 35s. Always thought it stupid to rate trails with tire size requirements.
