I can see where you're coming from. I am a big fan of Granger. Something I'd never even considered saying about a damned car dealership. They are a different breed, and I don't see any reason to think they will spring anything on you. With almost every Granger customer being a rabid forum...
Everyone consider adding your info to the tracking sheet for your (current) build week:

I've been thinking about that recently. The way Ford handled reservations only benefitted a subset of dealers, at the expense of buyers and Ford, themselves. I wonder if the C-Suite is aware of how much the dealership model, and capitulation to NADA, is costing them.
They clarified (always a necessity with Ford comms), but only the WT trim switch was explicitly allowed from the beginning. They just made it easier to understand.
Other than complaints of shitty instructions, I'm not seeing many red flags for other Westin products.
Edit* Looks like price has gone up:
I wonder if they'll honor the orders that got in.
I'm selfishly hoping that everyone, or at least most, will have your same mindset. Because I have a scheduled 7MT build. The more documented cases, the more quickly Ford is likely to take action to permanently resolve it.
Looking at the Geolandar G003 in 255/85/16 for my incoming Base. That or the Cooper S/T Maxx. They seem like the most A/T-ish available in the size (only M/T and trailer tires).
Everyone talking about 35"+. I wonder if anyone has run the pizza cutter 33's in these.
In that case: What are your thoughts? Most of us aren't remotely qualified to read Ford's intentions. We generally only have negative experiences to relate to.
I hope they will just renew the program, and the current anxiety was all for naught; But I can't assume that's the case with what I've...
"Modify" includes a whole lot of latitude. Like I said, I read it the way you are, but there is too much space for interpretation to be effective communication. Which is why Ford added more explicit verbiage. They saw what was happening.
The original language didn't specify what could be done on Non-WT orders. They added that phrasing later. It could have been reasonably understood to have that limitation, in fact I mentioned that when it was suggested early on that everyone could hop trims. But it was in no way clear. Unless...
