Pretty good review, glad to hear that the engine is plenty potent and he likes it overall. Bit of a swing and a miss with the trail sights also being useful for tying things down to the roof or being able to tell where the hood ends.
I definitely get that as well, it seems like the most ideal option for those people who are almost never going to take their car off road or do light off roading. They won't care about the added weight with trying to get over rocks, etc because beach cruising is most likely what it'll see at worst.
It seems like a lot of people on here are missing the whole point of the 4XE Wrangler. Yes it wonāt get the best range off road, no one ever thought it would. But when I was commuting it would be a perfect vehicle for me. Drove less than a few miles to the train station, parked all day, then...
I absolutely hear some of the tinniness in the installed speakers. Much less muffled but Iām curious if the stock ones are muffled as a result of water proofing. Definitely an upgrade Iām looking to do but personally Iād rather go with water resistant/marine speakers vs regular car audio speakers.
Iāll never forget the article on the ā15 WRX lol:
āRev the engine high enough to get wheelspin when the clutch engages, and shift out of first around 5200 rpm,ā advised the engineer. With the four-wheel-drive traction of the WRX in mind, we wondered aloud, āYou sure the clutch and gearbox will...
Lovely lol. Hopefully the tops from the manu that replaces Webasto come out in much better condition. Mine will be seeing NY and VT winters, neither of which are remotely friendly on cars. Crap like this makes me happy I'm waiting till '23 for my mod but am worried we'll see more "beta" issues...
Exactly this, while people may be willing to accept tops in their current raggedy condition itās only going to get worse. These are going to be exposed to high amounts of UV, pounds of snow on them, and the freezing and thawing of ice. All of those will only amplify these issues. Sure they may...
Everything I've read/watched says it's similar to Ford's ST products and the one I played with sitting on a dealer floor felt the same. VERY linear (in a good way) which makes easing it out in stop/go traffic super easy. Won't tire you out but not completely dead like people say about the manual...
Yep I had Toyo R888s on a WRX a few years ago. Those tires are super soft and I can imagine some off-road tires behaving in a similar manner. When running those they literally took off the paint lining my 1/4 panels and left them as bare metal. Running through any patch of gravel on the road...
Did anyone else just get an email saying a refund of $24.69 was issued from Shopify payments? Initially thought it was the $250 but not sure what this is tied to. My original receipt is also attached and none of those amounts were explicitly reduced.
Love seeing another manual review. I messed with a prepro manual that was shown at a dealer and absolutely felt the similarity between the shifter of that and my Fiesta ST. Maybe .25-.5ā longer throw but still felt like a solid, responsive box. It definitely isnāt like a direct linkage (a la...
I checked the guest discount box and mine didn't show up as this for NH. My receipt says:
$35 Owner Fee Reservation
$200 Owner Fee Deposit
$419 Owner Fee Guest 1
$75 Vehicle Damage Waiver
$729.69 Total
Yep the 2.3l in the RS is not at all bad sounding. While plenty of people think V8=best sounding motor (lots of time theyāre not actually) people manage to make those sound like shit all the time.
