If you get the accessory kit, it comes with the OEM style windshield mount, hardwire kit, license plate bracket, additional camera mounts, spare screws, and more. It's worth it just for the windshield mount, I consider that a mandatory component. I was back in it several times for parts as I...
There is more than enough cable. I mounted mine on the roll bar to keep it out of the weather. I left enough slack to relocate it to the spare tire later if I decide to do that.
Don’t worry about glare. If you can’t see the display, it will function as a conventional mirror.
My front camera...
I tried the glare filter. It worked, but significantly diminished the quality of the display and eliminated the ability to use the reflection as a conventional mirror. In direct sunlight the display went completely white. I couldn't stand it and removed it after a couple of days. I keep my top...
I have the Tripro, you won't regret it. The display is crystal clear and eliminates a lot of blind spots. After dark, you can see lots more than the factory mirror, the newer camera fixed the problems with quality. It's almost like having night vision. The display can wash out in bright sunlight...
A drill bit. Genius!
A future mod is going to be a antenna cable with a big fitting on the end of it. That's what I was thinking of when I ordered the new grommet. I really don't want to drill new holes, and this makes things simple.
EDITED, misunderstood you.
If you are talking about replacing the existing grommet, I've thought about that. My OCD though... It won't take long to disconnect stuff and pull the wires out of the original.
I’ve already been through the firewall twice and I know I’ll do it at least two more times, maybe more. I wish I had known about this part when I installed my mObridge amp. (That was my first pass through.) Now I’ll have to deconstruct a little to get this in, I’m ok with that. Life will be much...
I doubt that I will actually do it. There are mods way higher on my priority list. If I did install an air horn, it would be used with a huge dose of common sense. Not to cause road rage, accidents, or general mischief. My friends would be getting pranked for sure.
I was hoping they had another option. That access is already pretty full. I just ordered this for the next time I have to pass through it.

I've looked at lots of versions. There's a brand that has all kinds of different sounds. Cows, Lions, Flipper, etc. Their horse whinny is very appropriate for a Bronco. I've seen electric ones on firetrucks. There are air powered sets for passenger cars as well as electric. I'm sure there are...
I will be installing a compressor, and am considering adding an air tank as well. That got me thinking about something else I have always wanted. A legit train horn! Who has one, and how did you install it? Got any good stories about how folks react to it?
I did a “bra” kit. Leading edges on the front which includes about 12” of the hood, plus the rocker panels. Would have done more if I could have afforded it. The rocker panel protection saved me from major scratches when I was reinstalling the doors for the first time, so I think it paid for itself.
Rear main seal makes perfect sense based on what I saw. I guess I'll need to put the top on so it can sit outside at the dealership for a while.
Noticed oil on the transmission bell housing, the transmission lines and all over the stabilizer bar. There is oil around the engine drain plug, I think that’s where it’s coming from. Minor amount, the dipstick shows full. Wiped it all clean will recheck soon.
Drain plug? Is this a common...
