When we go to my brothers cabin and it is slick he puts it in 4H. He is not much of an off roader and he usually remembers to take it out of 4h about 40 minutes later on the way home when we turn into a place to get lunch and he feels the tires bind. Been doing it for years.
Definitely an age thing.
Every time it shuts off I flashback to 1968. My 60 Comet dying at a light and no buddies riding with me to either push start or push it off of the road.

The other day I was saying to myself, "There is a little more wind noise than I expected in my FE." Of course I was going about 85 MPH in a vehicle with a removable top . Contrast my new Bronco with my latest project, a 1961 Mercury M100. For those of you not from the great white North...
My FE with 2.7 and Sas gets 18 around town and low 20's on the road. I am good with it.
You can't realistically compare any mileage numbers with a Dodge, because every dodge owner I ever knew lied about his mileage.
Short term solution in my 2 door
until I get a better handle on it.
Tire repair kit, compressor, jumper cables, tools, tow strap, etc......

I test drove one a few months before mine arrived and came away with respect for the 2.3 it came with.
Mine has a 2.7 which is of course better but the 2.3 is not bad.
This is my 96 Eddie Bauer with 73,000 original miles on it for comparison.
I am selling the 96 to make room for the new FE.

A few years ago I put together a kit for my side X side since there did not seem to be much on the market. I did 50 of them, giving some to family members and selling the rest.
Just followed another vehicle in the desert for quite a while and ate his dust. The recirc button would only stay on for a few minutes and then go off.
My last Toyota did this but if you held the recirc button down for 3 seconds it would stay engaged.
I am not totally anti-nanny but come on Ford!!!
