I'm lazy and didn't wake through all the responses so if this is a repeat I'm sorry.
The rig is not a mall crawler, it's the driver. Since I haven't approached the abilities of the vehicle, I, like you, am a mall crawler. Sad, but true.
Definitely don't look. If you do look, take a step back and look at it like you don't own it and have never seen it before, give it the benefit of the doubt like you do when you see other vehicles.
Side tip: this philosophy also works with wives or husbands ; )
I will say that joint on mine...
I also put it on the calendar. Just to make sure I understand, arrive Friday afternoon or evening on the 20th, do the loop trail (roughly 40 miles, 8 hrs) on Saturday, camp in the same place Saturday night, leave Sunday.
I just reread the whole thread and post 30 clarifies the timing ie camp...
I'm in SLC, would want to camp and will try to make any date work but have no control over my work schedule from late April to December (big construction with weather unlnowns...). That said I expect to have lots of free time from now to April 28, and from June to October.
If you take a group, I'd be interested in going.
That said, how difficult is the section from essentially the eagle canyon rest stop to the swasey cabin? My wife is anti hard trails and anti off-roading in general but loves the swell and hiking. Ie if the off-roading gets us to place with...
I definitely smelled my leaking diff, but it was also obvious it was leaking. Not puddles or stains obvious but clear with the bash plate on and obvious with the plate dropped.
I took mine in for a front pinion leak and transmission noise. They said they couldn't hear the noise... it was cold.
They did fix the pinion leak and get it back to me in a day, so I decided not to give them grief on the noise. Could be that they think since they all sound loud like that...
Nothing to see here, move along. Moab is the place. ; )
Somewhere in the paper archives I've got a Polaroid of our minivan in that culvert. OK, I'm not that old it wasn't a Polaroid but it is a printed picture. We used to go to that area with the kids every year when the kids were little...
5. only drive with a tailwind
virtually eliminates top noise plus you get bonus mpg!
To the op - I agree the noise can be overwhelming. when people ask me if I like my bronco I say "it gets terrible gas mileage, it's absurdly noisy, but I like it".
I suspect that if your diff was leaking you would have noticed when you changed the oil. I'm not a car guy but I do change my oil because it's easy, I'm cheap and retired.
Mine started leaking somewhere between about 16000 and 24000. It wasn't much of a leak and I still noticed. It has gotten...
I thought all badlands had the parking sensors. Mines a 22 and I did get the high package, I really wanted the big screen because my near vision sucks and thought the cameras would be nice when I'm out alone.
You're not missing much, the cameras are nice when the lenses are clean but I haven't...
I removed my rear speakers last year from my oxford white 2 Dr 7mt badlands ; ). Didn't do anything with forscan and lost the beeping/parking warning for objects behind the bronco.
With the forscan speaker removal do you still get the audible warning from parking sensors in the back?
I don't...
I did the off-roadeo in February 23 and we did wipeout hill.
Most of us were intimidated by it but essentially all of us just drove right up it.
We didn't go back down it and I agree, going down looked way scarier.
