  1. UPDATE: Hardtops need to be redesigned! Cracking and bubbling on my second hardtop replacement

my 22 was fine till sometime this year. I look for cracks occasionally (3 to 6 month intervals) and finally saw some last week. Some of the other hard top cracking threads show the cracking affects all kinds, all locations, all climates. Garage queen tops crack too.
  2. JUNK Hard Tops......and a question

So is there any way to slow or stop cracking or seal cracks? I've got a summer 22 build 2 door. Noticed bubbling above the rear window with a tiny crack at the bubble center and some possible map cracking on the drivers side front panel at the front outside corner. The damage is barely...
  3. Clutch & Cylinder Failed at less than 900 miles. Dealer denied warranty claim

I think you are underestimating how cheap I can be ; ) If they were the same price I would have taken a long look at the automatic. We rented an expedition once and I was pretty impressed with the 10 speed transmission. It was definitely a huge step up from the "slush boxes" of the past.
  4. Is an electric Bronco in the works for the US market?

There will be a battery breakthrough. Energy density will increase, weight will decrease, off-road performance will exceed gas engine vehicles. Imagine 4 lightweight in wheel motors with 4 wheel steering. No turbo, no gas engine, no transmission, no drive shafts, no mufflers... How long will...
  5. Clutch & Cylinder Failed at less than 900 miles. Dealer denied warranty claim

I did the 5 to 2 shift in my badlands, was pretty happy the engine didn't explode as someone described above. 40000 miles later the clutch seems ok. I was mindlessly following 2 slow campers in 6 gear at about 55 then realized I had a passing lane, floored it, nothing since I was in 6th...
  6. Looking for a minimalist KEY FOB? We may be in luck.

After setting the alarm off twice today (putting on / taking off my ski boots) I decided to take action. Your post gave me the confidence to try. I do not have the fine motor skills to copy your solution so I just sanded off the button (saw that recommendation a long time ago in a thread far...
  7. Bronco newbie must have mods for mpg and wind sound

Downwind helps too, noise and mileage! Watch the weather and plan accordingly ; )
  8. Looking for a minimalist KEY FOB? We may be in luck.

Another manual request and would be thrilled if the emergency button was just deleted. I also accidentally set mine off weekly.
  9. Brake Light and Check Brake System

My order was pretty similar to zukes. Seemed goofy, so I went to the official ford parts site and tried to order through them which sent me to a dealer in Michigan who wouldn't ship to Utah. Then did a Utah dealer parts department check and they wanted over $300 so I just went back to the...
  10. Ford Quality Control Problem

You're right, I can't count, only 4 recalls since I decided not to get the block heater. The service manager told me they didn't have the parts for the backup camera. I checked after I saw your post and Ford says parts are available. Ford also said parts were available this summer for the...
  11. Ford Quality Control Problem

I might agree with you if I could actually get any recall work done... I think I have 5 recalls but currently only 1 has parts available. WTF. Seriously, the fuel pump one really bugs me because that potential leaves me stranded. I spoke with the dealer today since they finally got parts in...
  12. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

I couldn't even have a conversation with a friend in a crosswind. It was embarrassing, luckily it was a short trip and we were only on the highway for 8 miles. I don't mind the noise much when I'm alone, but it really bothers me if someone else is in the vehicle. I don't even bother turning...
  13. How many Octagons are too many Octagons? (Spare Tire Delete)

Keep us up to date on your parallelogram project and try to ignore the squirrels (I know easier said than done ; ).
  14. Brake Light and Check Brake System

It was absurdly easy. I hit the timer on my phone, picked the part up off the basement floor, grabbed my coffee and walked out to the garage. Opened hood, looked at it again for about 20 seconds, went back to the basement for a screwdriver and plyers. Popped off the connections on the front...
  15. Heat vent operation

I didn't block the a pillar vent since I discovered that if you turn on just the dash vents and foot vents no air goes to the a pillar vent. Then if I want max foot heat I just manually close the dash vents. (I keep the passenger side vents mostly closed unless I have a passenger...) Why the a...
  16. Brake Light and Check Brake System

Did the first open the hood and stare session. Sure seems easy enough. The 2.3 has tons of room and that is about the most accessible tube in the engine bay. I'm ahead of schedule ; ) just ordered the part.
  17. Brake Light and Check Brake System

Thanks for the info. Sounds easy enough (famous last words ; ). I'm pretty sure mines just a vacuum leak. Only happens on sustained acceleration or power. It will consistently go off on the same hill on my commute and if I just minimally let off the gas a couple times on the hill it doesn't...
  18. Brake Light and Check Brake System

"Pretty easy swap"? So I've been getting the warning almost every drive, I find it annoying but the brakes seem fine. (22, 2.3 manual) If I want I can drive in a way that won't set it off... So does pretty easy mean that anyone with half a brain and no special tools can replace it? Or does it...
  19. November 2025 Bronco Sales & Production Figures: 11,045 Sold / 13,966 Produced

I looked at the hard top wagon D90 back in 94, when my wife was pregnant. She just looked at me and said "Where does the babys car seat go?" in the way only a wife who really loves her dumb ass husband can say. My ski buddy's neighbor has one and it mocks me every time I pick him up.
