I'm moving forward with my MY21 reservation; however, I'm also patiently waiting for the PHEV Bronco. Reasons: my daily drives are short so I could technically use the EV mode for most of my jaunts, avoiding weekly trips to the gas station; any environmental advantage is a good thing, and will...
Check out the Heininger TwistStep. Goes in the tow hitch and swivels under the truck when not in use. It's a breeze getting my 170+lb Great Danes into my Sequoia. Gonna get a second step for the Bronco!
After seeing the two-door at Super Cel East with two of my Danes in tow I see they'll fit... with the rear seats down or deleted. I plan to use padding and a memory foam mattress to make the area "flat" and comfy. And get a second Heininger TwistStep like the one on my Sequoia. Goes in the tow...
I second that! Getting my Bronco shipped to Atlanta... but before that I'm flying to IA not only to inspect the rig but to meet Albert! Shout out to a LEGEND!
Oh he loved his picture taken! He just always had this look on his face because he was visually impaired. Still, he loved the"pawparazzi" but handled being famous like a champ!
I picked the Base because if this is anything like when I got my Tesla they rolled out the most expensive models first. In fact, I'm not sure if they ever did make a $25K Model 3 widely available!
States are moving towards producing more EVs in the next 20 years... not banning ICE vehicles from the roads. I pay a hefty "tax" to register my electric vehicle. Wouldn't be surprised if something similar was applied to gas vehicles on down the road; however, there's no way that the cars we buy...
I agree. Although I'm currently suffering the headache of having to repair the rear window and motor, the power window has been a selling point when it came to getting my 4Runner and then my Sequoia. I'd much rather have my pups have their heads out the back when I'm rolling as opposed to the...
That's a great point! I have that issue now with my Sequoia. I have three Great Danes, including one who is 10.5 years old. All three use a twist step to get into the SUV. I'm always conscious of where I park so no one can block my lift gate or the step. Looks like I'll have to be extra vigilant...
@hbms17 a couple more thoughts on the dogs fitting. If I recall, the rep who measured the back area (with the seats down) said it's about 48" from the back of the front seat to the inside of the tailgate. I also had him measure the space from the back of the folded rear seat to the tailgate...
@hbms17 No problem! My Danes won't have as much room to roam around in the back like they currently do in my Sequoia, but I'm actually looking forward to them being a bit more buttoned down in the Bronco and not all over the place. My initial impression of Antimatter Blue was that I thought they...
@MadMan4BamaNATL I agree... after seeing Area 51 in person, it would be my #1 choice if a white top were available. I'm going for the two-door, so the modular top isn't an option for me, nor is the pull-out tray that would go behind the back seats. That's why I had the Ford Rep measure that...
@GiddyUp Ugh... now I'm back to the drawing board with these colors! :) The new rig on display in Area 51 looked sweet; however, I'd prefer the fictional white top if I went that route. At least there's still time to choose. As far as models, going with the two-door Big Bend. Also interested...
Just got back from the Super Celebration East! I brought Havoc and Chaos to get some perspective of my beasties next to the two-door. The Ford rep was kind enough to take a couple of measurements of the back cargo area with the seats down, and it looks like the Danes will fit! Good news for us...
It's confirmed... I plan on heading up early Thursday morning and coming back that afternoon. Anyone interested in meeting up and saying 'hi' just message me and we can exchange numbers. Otherwise I'll be bringing Chaos & Havoc so I'll be easy to spot! :)
