Looks good-ish. I like the back end, the front is just ok. The dash is really nice except for that horrific sideways mounted tv they insist on putting in everything. Why cant I just save 5 grand and put in a sony Xplod radio from walmart? I swear one day I will wipe my ass and see a touchscreen...
Go get super swampers, they only pick up boulders. As for those other vehicles, take them anywhere other than a gravel road and you will drag sheet metal across trees, rocks, and everything else. Also all real offroaders know that the solution to rocks getting thrown up is in the garden section...
If she is messing with the controls you have already lost her and the bronco in the settlement. All you you have left is allemoney and a Plenty of Fish account with an old pre gut profile pic.
If you are fine with the tire size I think that is perfect. I like 16 with a 32-33. Really i am happy to never go over 16 unless its a big rig or tires are above 44s. Big wheels make a poor ride that requires more expensive shocks. Not to mention shock loads on joints that would otherwise be...
I have dreamed of an adjustable supsension for years. However I just dont see how this can safely do it. It says it keeps the bilsteins, but how is that considering its a coil over setup? Also with air springs the the spring rate is lowered with air pressure. So when lowered( a position desired...
Anything with tread and bias ply construction is tough to beat offroad. Eventually swampers guys do downgrade to ATs. Bald swampers are as good as brand new ATs. :ROFLMAO:
I want old school police spotlights. I dont care if I have to reach out the windows to aim em. But thats what I want. Also what are these in dash touch tvs for anyways if we cant pull up the front camera and touch where we want the light to point on em. Forget adaptive cruise butt wipers, and...
Just seeing pics of people with some stuff on their tires. I expect them to be better than almost all ATs but doubt they will do better than any MTs. Except maybe some lower grade import types like Linglong or other ebay rubber. I do expect them to be high on puncture resistance and such...
I sure will once I buy a Bronco. For now I am working on putting my CJ7 in my new Eagle project so I can swap the 28" TSLs from my old eagle project on it. I just love the hum. Fun fact the Eagle on 28 TSLs goes further in soft sand than my CJ7 on 32 BFG MTs.
One day when I do buy a Bronco I will be sure to try and stop by as many fellow 6gers as I can find on our big road trip. And if any of yall make it out to Maui for vacation come by Twin Falls to find me and we can out on some trails, if ya dont have 4x4 all my spare cars are so no worries...
Im out in Hawaii and likely never able to join you all. However I reccomend you all start something like the Jeep Jamborees or Burningman or something somewhere in between.
It didnt drain because the radiator cap is still on and therefore it could not drain being a closed system. If the newfangled design does not have a cap perhaps there is a hose up top that is to be released first.
The Bronco looked good and he got some good shots of it. But that guy, I dont even know, just rubbed me the wrong way.
Basesquatch is very tempting though.
The problem with air shocks is I have always heard that ride quality is alot worse. One day I will come up with an idea of how to adjust ride height on the fly without affecting ride quality. Something like these for jeeps but mechanised. I would trade all the heated/cooled seats, in-dash tvs...
Looks beautiful!
I will add that if you plan on having cargo or rear passengers, you may want to level that rear. Remember factory they have more wheel travel in back.
Otherwise its a good all around rig.
Looked at the website thinking maybe this is the last vehicle without a damn touchscreen tv in it. But alas the interior looks like every other piece of junk the feed us these days. Otherwise locking rear diff is nice.
Got me thinking, since Ford obviously has a performance building heritage...
Looks great nice mountaineer too! I really want to come up with a hydraulic assist suspension that would allow me to ride on road stuffed almost like you are now. But then pump it up a couple inches offroad. But still keeping all the suspension travel on traditional setups. I have been trying to...
