Are they going to add a tintcoat/ different primer or something to actually make it look green at all? We can all hope that Cactus Grey looks different from Fighter Jet grey.
Also this would be an opportune time for a "hold on to your butts..." reference.
Pre B&P Plan:
Doors and Trim: 4 door Badlands
Color: A Red or Cactus (still don’t know, want green and might wrap to make it happen)
Engine and Transmission: 2.7 Auto
Roof: MIC
Sasquatch: Yes
Packages: Lux
Interior: Leather medium brown or other light color
Options: Towing,
DIO: roof rails...
My point exactly. There will have to be, or Ford won't be able to offer the two vehicles at the same time.
Edit: I Think going to the B&P for the Raptor is quite helpful, here. Loaded, it's about $70k, base it's in the high 50s. I bet the warthog looks to occupy similar space price-wise with...
The question in my mind is where the WildTrak sits after the Warthog arrives...those two would seriously cannibalize sales of eachother unless the Warthog is worth an extra $10k.
I just really don’t get what they could be doing that would be this difficult or break unexpectedly at the last minute. They make build and prices all the time. I know there’s talk of including lots of accessories, but that seems like something they could expand on over time after releasing the...
Seriously...WTF. I set the bar low. We've all been burned and at no point did I ever let myself believe that false alarm last night, but WTF. W the actual F.
Would be nice to have some positive, open communication from Ford. I know they told us roughly when to expect it and that Mid-Oct could...
What did you see with your own eyes (apart from what's in that photo)? Could you help us understand what you think you saw apart from what's in the photo? Do you think the green we see in the photo is relatively accurate to what you saw?
In the spirit of creating a thread that everyone enjoys...
I brought the wife and kids to look at a defender on Saturday and take a test drive. Something about a white roof and white steelies with a middle seat that really makes it feel special. Love the durable and yet luxurious interior materials, washout floor, design, etc. it also comes in green and...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Note: I truly cannot contain my joy if this is actually a green Bronco.)
Appreciate this post. I'm going to have a hard time not squatching my Badlands for cool factor alone (there, I said it). When I make the call, though, I want to do it with eyes wide open and reduced acceleration & stopping are significant drawbacks.
Wash out floors just make natural sense in this day and age of families with kids, dogs, and frankly life. Don’t understand why they’re not way more common, though they probably help a bit with sound deadening, etc.
The new Defender actually has a lot of interesting stitched neoprene-like...
I voted Rapid Red, but I really wish there was a green option. I might get a wrap to make it happen. Life’s too short for muted colors.
Just today I saw a Q5 and a Disco both in beautiful greens. Ugh.
They were too busy choosing the volume selling grey tones, the million shades of blue including two that look near identical, one that’s greyish and one that’s basically black, a grey with a name that suggests it could be kinda green even though it isn’t, and multiple reds.
It would be called the Warthog. It would be Guard/ Highland Green, have 37s, and I’d be able to drive over speed bumps without lifting off the throttle. It would have everything. Maybe come prepackaged with winch, onboard air, snorkel, etc. It would have a flat plane crank v8 and sidepipes. It...
I think it’s hard to disagree with that given that it’s the way business is typically done. It would have been simpler and consumers willing to pay for the first allocations could do so. This makes a lot more sense (at least to me) now. Nothing offensive at all.
That said, I would argue that it...
Just to be clear, are you suggesting there shouldn’t have been reservations/orders direct from consumers at all and instead should have just been allocations to dealerships?
Think folks may be talking past each other here...
Great topic, and you're certainly pinning down the right question. I think the crux of challenge for me is that I don't know what my true savings will be before picking my dealer.
In this situation, I'm forced to pick who I trust the most not to stick me with a significant markup come order...
I would probably buy any trim that came in green... if it existed. Seriously, the F-150 comes in Guard. This isn't hard.
I know, guys. I need to let it go.
