My wife recognizes that she has a nice but boring car and fully supports the Bronco...until she found out what I was planning to spend.
She did maintain that she likes that the Bronco could be fun for the whole family and usable long run for a family of 4 as opposed to the smaller faster...
@LalasBronco I just moved my reservation to Stephens from Charlotte today when my dealer didn't respond to questions. Worth a nice drive to me to not have some nasty surprise come order time. No one likes extortion.
Ha! You're right. Another *Charlottean* headed to Stephens!
Giving my 340i with m performance pack back to the dealer this weekend. My kids are going to miss all the "zooming" until I can take the roof off of the Bronco...
Another unresponsive local dealer, another switched reservation to Stephens.
The guys at Ford know Stephens well from all the transfer requests. Logistically, I wonder what the impacts are to getting all those Broncos shipped to WV... Ford might be able to streamline things a bit to ship to...
Where's the 2.7 with manual option? (/s, j/k,)
My honest answer is that I'd love a manual for fun/ to teach my kids with BUT:
I'm not sure how I feel about wheeling and burning up a clutch as I'd be very new to this.
I really want as much automated cruise functionality as I can get, and...
I shot T&C an email yesterday, but anticipate needing to change my reservation. Will update with any news.
Appreciate the information, guys. Looks like theres a great deal in WV now also.
Agree- it's only human nature for a dealership to want to juice their profits in anyway they can. I suspect that the really egregious stuff will only happen some here and there, but the majority will add some padding to the price one way or the other and your only recourse will be to walk away...
I'm one of the few mutants that actually enjoys negotiating on cars, but this is a unique situation.
When we get "locked in" at a dealer before even knowing what kind of a deal we're being locked into, we lose all our power. As the OP said, the dealer has a ton of incentive to simply sell to...
Turning in my lease in a few weeks (it was glorious and I will miss it). I've been working from home since the 'rona started. Given that, I will be trying to make it until the Bronco arrives sharing one car with my wife....pray for me.
I might just get something cheap that won't depreciate much...
Agree on your comment about the impact to the Badlands orders. They will go down with this offering.
Also agree with basically all the facts. I think we just differ on our perspective of those facts.
I still think they offer more combinations of trims and options on this thing than you can...
(Edit: It really looks like Ford WILL offer this based on the post just before mine.)
If it is true that a "BADSQUATCH" just includes a minor lift and 35s, there may be a backdoor/loophole to getting the manual 'Squatch, even if Ford doesn't end up offering it. Just spec a manual Badlands and...
