I can't believe I'm somehow still undecided.
I would have told you two months ago "manual or GTFO", but I can't totally shake my concerns about:
-The 2.3 (port injection)
-The still unknown manual trans (what if it somehow ends up even worse than the MT82?)
-The fact that the 2.7 and 10R80...
Iconic silver is one of my contenders, and this is just what I needed.
Can you drop one with JUST the samsquantch'd wheels and tires, but the normal MIC roof and no roof rack?
Most wheels these days, OEM or otherwise, tend to be painted and clearcoated.
Finish durability is only as good as the process that was used, and can vary a lot. But the painted finish on most OEM wheels tends to be really strong.
As an example- I switch between my OEM Subaru wheels and a set...
This is me. Any kind of bait-and-switch or TruCoat™ games with Granger pricing, and I'll just wait to see what Toyota comes up with the new Tacoma and 4Runner.
It's nothing but a toy to me (a ludicrously expensive one, but a toy nonetheless), so I have no problem waiting.
Really any vehicle with a bit of clearance and a set of winter tires is 100% fine in the UP.
Source: snowboarded Mount Bohemia every winter for years. Got around with a Saturn SC1 on a set of General Altimax Arctics just fine.
I don't suspect this is accurate. But if it is, I'd gladly cancel and then overpay for a Tacoma TRD CockMaster OffRoad Ultimate Large Sticker Professional with an open front diff and a Bridgestone Dueler as a spare tire, just to spite them.
This thread has a spec sheet that indicates the height on a 2-door Badlands (assuming with 33s) and a roof rack should be 77.4" tall. Good starting point for estimates.
A lot of garages tend to be 7', or 84". It's getting very close with the Samsquantch and roof rack with a 7-footer.
I'm not sure when this happened, but we've become very desensitized to new car prices.
A $40-$50,000 vehicle is *ludicrously* expensive, especially in the context of a median American income. It's good you're being realistic about what is essentially just a toy, and not worth any kind of...
Yes.
This goes against everything we've been told thus far about the availability of the 4.70s, so I assume it's an oversight in the build and price (as in- it's not mandating you select a manual, and by consequence of that, a 2.3, on a non-squatched Badlands).
It would be cool if it actually...
Regional wheel+tire threads to match up buyers, sellers, and traders would be useful.
Pretty sure I'll be flipping a set of Badlands machined face wheels and 33" KO2s.
