Congrats on the early retirement, it’s everything you thought it would be. I certainly made a lot of mistakes along the way, just not as many fiscal ones as our friends and family. Luck certainly played a role with my wife being in the right place at the right time landing a job at Apple in...
I would guess so but I will let you know when the rail yard figures out how to get it on an auto transport for the last 25 miles to my dealer. 7/20/20 reservation first ordered 1/29/21, 11/22/22 blend date.
That sucks but you are wise to not buy something that your can’t afford right now. Many people spend way beyond their means on cars and other toys. I’m 57 and my wife has had a handful of new cars since we got married in 1994 but my Bronco is my first new vehicle. I was always focused on...
If it’s currently on a train, you might see it in the next two weeks. The delays I’m seeing at the St. Paul MN rail yard getting it transferred to a car carrier were caused by a ton of snow in the last month - they are backed up a few weeks and my dealer is telling me as recently as December...
We don’t often push the limits. A completely dead battery can brick the $15k battery. I’m told that there is a 20 miles range when it hits 0 miles on my 2015 Model S but I’ve only run it down to below 20 miles a handful of times in 8 years. The beauty is it has a full charge every morning so...
My blend date was 11/22, modules popped 11/24, chip hold until “built” 12/05, shipped 1/10. Arrived at rail yard 25 miles from dealer 1/19. Still waiting for delivery and today marks 2 years since I first ordered. :)
Mine will be 10+ weeks from blend date to delivery.
On the Lux package, built in Navigation has been removable for a $695 credit since at least last summer due to the chip shortage. I deleted it on mine when I reordered in September as I have external GPS units that I prefer over the Ford built in unit. I also have a Bad Elf Pro GPS that links...
$750 is fair and many don’t have the space, time, or haven’t mastered paint correction so they really should pay someone to do it. It’s therapeutic for me to clean and detail a car or especially a boat. I actually enjoy it especially if I can do it at my leisure.
They work but a lot of places overcharge for them IMO. Depending upon how much paint correction needs to be done, it takes about 1.5-3 hours to do the job. I do it myself as I have the tools and ability and the going rate seems to be $600-$1,300. Way too much for a couple hours of my time...
Looks amazing! What brand and color distressed leather is that? The shade looks a lot different in the last couple of photos compared to the earlier ones.
I have an Eruption Green Bronco coming in the next week and am doing Katzkin but I’m undecided on the color combo.
Speakers and amps vary so much in price that I’d have to see a breakdown of the equipment and labor/sub boxes for the installation. I’ve put a lot of car audio systems in since I was selling it for a decade from 1988-1998.
My most recent one I paid to have done as I’m getting to old or lazy to...
Same for me. My MIC top 7/20/20 reservation should be delivered this week, and I'll either sell the MIC top and buy the ADV or get the MyTop power soft top when it starts shipping.
I’m in Minnesota and had full PPF done and front tint for $6,500 including tax. Some in the area were about $1,000 less but I went with the shop that had the best reputation for customer service and installation quality. Mine is a 4 door, a 2 door would be about $1,000 less.
I worked for 3M...
Yep, I get it. Mine has been sitting at the rail yard 25 miles from my dealer since 1/19. It looks like it won't make it to the dealer by my two year original order anniversary which is now only 2 days away.
Mine has been sitting in St. Paul, MN, just 25 miles from my dealer since 1/18. My dealer has 14 Broncos sitting at that rail yard, so I'm not alone. My blend date was 11/22, but it was on chip hold, and my "built" email came on 12/05. My baby pic showed up two days ago. The funniest part is...
I was at my dealer yesterday and they have 14 Broncos including mine, sitting at the St. Paul MN rail yard waiting to be loaded onto an auto transport for the 25 mile ride to their dealership. Nearly all of these are the last of their July and August early reservations from 2020 and they have...
I had a small chip the first week and some missing paint from the factory on the top of the quarter panel that appeared to be from the metal soft top frame digging in. I had the shop that did full body PPF fix both of them before installing. I now have 17k miles and have just a few small...
The soft and hard top will be much noisier on the highway than a typical PU or SUV. I wouldn’t want it for my daily driver if I had a 30+ mile round trip commute to work but our daughters don’t mind the noise at all.
The 2.3 is enough for most especially in the 2 door and you can bump up the...
