Sorry for the delay. I used ACC on the highway and had 0 issues. So far the only real compromise is you have to source your own camera relocation, but that is preferable over relocating the ACC sensor (I heard that reduces its sensitivity and reliability a lot).
I ordered JCRs camera relocation. I haven't driven much yet since it's a long holiday weekend for me. I need to go into town for some errands tomorrow tho so I'll be sure to test ACC, but I don't anticipate any issues.
I was almost gonna go with that Warn VR but 4WP had a $100 off offer for the Smittybilt so I went with that. I guess I got lucky since I didn't need to trim the sensor holder caps at all.
RC's instructions tell you to trim the cap on one side even with their brand's winch.
I also have a Factor...
I can't tell how many threads are left on the bumper bolts. You may be able to use some long rectangular shims to bring it out more but I think that takes away from this mount's greatest advantage which is a great approach angle and minimal depth.
I got mine installed except for trimming the plastic tow hook covers and wiring up the lights. You can mount up the mount to the bumper before attaching the winch and winch plate. Make sure you install the sensors before putting on the winch because it's difficult to put those screws and nuts on...
My gas mileage improved over 1 MPG when I switched to the Bestop lol. I guess lower weight and slightly better pressure recovery with the fastback shape. Was getting 17ish before and now getting high 18s.
Late update, but I used mine pretty good in Moab at the bronco Safari, definitely came down hard on them multiple times and had no bends or flexing or any other issues. Very satisfied so far. I'm running mine with rekgen mud flaps and they go well together too.
I added my own cheapo 20" light bar from Amazon. There's a lot of room there for different braands and lots of adjustment. Still waiting on my winch before I install onto the truck.
I don't have any shipping info from LOD. I picked up a 20" light bar from amazon that had good reviews, I gotta run to the hardware store to get long enough bolts to mount it up though. Thats good to know its possible to reach the sensors without taking the bumper off.
Same, they were missing on mine too. I have a 2nd package coming from RC that says "BUMPER SENSOR MOUNTING KIT (QTY 4)" so hopefully that is the missing bits. I'm also waiting on the LOD reinforcements as well as the JCR Pre-runner bar, I think both of those had big lead times.
Mine arrived too, but its missing the plastic holders for the sensors.
Before my mount even arrived RC sent out another shipment that is supposed to arrive next week named " BUMPER SENSOR MOUNTING KIT (QTY 4)"
Hopefully that is the missing bits. 4WP messed up the shipment for my winch so I...
I think a control pack relocation will help but I doubt it will be totally unobstructed. I really don't want to pay more for JCRs relocation kit than the actual winch mount it goes on...
