These look so good, the ONLY thing holding me back from buying them is fear for the amount of rocks and debris the wheels will kick up into the body. Has anyone done any small mud flaps with them yet?
Nice job pretty similar to how I did my single. I ended up mostly redoing the wiring harness and stripped all the unused wires and connectors. I also used an adapter to run the pressure switch straight off one of the solenoid ports on the manifold.
I noticed a small difference when I installed it all, but day-to-day I forget there's all that extra weight in front so IMO its negligible. I have my little Volkswagen R32 for when I want something with good driving dynamics.
Anyone find a way to allow the mirror lights to stay on at a higher MPH? They are pretty useless even from factory. The only use I've found is lighting up my mailbox when I check my mail when its dark...not the most effective use of them.
I didn't realize how thin the metal on the stock hitch receiver was, my BAMF one looks a fair bit thicker. I can't say I'm surprised it bent some. The trouble is the 4/7 plug connection is mounted to the stock receiver, so if you go with an aftermarket reciever then you'll need to move that.
I...
I used this full writeup and did it to my own Bronco, and successfully towed a KZ Escape E180QB 7-pin camper trailer with trailer brakes to Super Celebration West (Colorado Springs to BV Chalk Creek Campground). Everything worked flawlessly. The truck recognized when the trailer was connected...
You have the BAMF hitch too, have you
You have the BAMF hitch receiver too, have you had any issues getting the hitch pin through the holes? On mine the coating is so thick I can't get the 2 different pins I have to go through. I might have to widen the hole :(
I completed my install and did the forscan programming as well. There were maybe 3 or 4 lines that didn't have the same before-values like Roverdude had, so I skipped those for now. I have the 12V charge line working, and no error codes on anything so thats good. I forgot to check the dash to...
I was thinking the same thing, on the driver side there's a couple bolts that will fit the bracket that came with my 7/4 plug well plug pointing straight down. Good excuse to get an aftermarket exhaust with a smaller muffler 😉
I'm in the middle of doing the full install using Roverdudes guide. Wiring up the C201 and C105 plugs was kinda tricky but so far things tested correctly. I also have a BAMF hitch receiver so I'm trying to decide where I want the plug located.
I was planning on going the same route, except for adding some wires from the front to make it a full 7 pin. I wonder if the tow module really adds any meaningful software benefits?
This is also a challenge in air ride suspension systems. Most compressors come with a stainless steel lead of about 12 to 18 inches to help dissipate heat and avoid this failure. I'd recommend adding a stainless lead that goes from your compressor over to your main inflation line. It will...
I saw these at their SEMA booth, surprised its taken so long to get these into production. I personally would be fine with a plastic. I'd like to paint them to match the body.
How bad was the window damage? I have the bestop (personally love it) and had the windows stored and folded in the back in a way that made some really bad creases, and I thought I permanently damaged it. 1 afternoon out in the sun and it was completely gone.
The rest of the problems there's no...
