Looks like the parking sensor wires were ran the wrong way. There is a hole that lets them pass through the winch plate so the wires stay hidden. I also ran my camera wire and hose through that hole too.
You'll be cutting a lot of stuff with the V6 install of this. V6 instructions start on page 13 https://s3.amazonaws.com/roughcountry/install/921510650.pdf
This is a lot more involved than I thought it was going to be on the V6. I'm glad I went with the RC mod bumper high mount.
Its all done!
The JCR pre-runner bar doesn't lean quite as far forward as I was hoping, but overall I love this setup.
I'm going to keep my eyes open for a camera mount that can mount directly to the round tube, and maybe relocate the winch control pack under the hood to clean things up just a...
I tried that first and it worked without modification but with my winch it put the camera hose and wire a bit too close to the rope for my comfort. That may work better for others though.
When I got them I was one of the first and they said 3-5 weeks, but ended up getting them at about 3.5 weeks. One of the others that got them more recently will need to chime in if its different now. You can also give them a call and ask.
At the moment I have a large Plano plastic box, but I want to switch to something soft so my tools and gear rattle less. If anyone has a lead on a good soft bag that is about 42 inches long, and has tie down points on the bottom I'm all ears.
I got my JCR camera relocation installed. Everything on it is good. I think the only downside is it sticks out a bit far forward so its likely to be the first thing to hit the garage wall if I pull in too far, although thats why we have sensors that beep at us too.
My JCR Pre-runner bar is...
I marked it out using a marker and then cut it using a Dremel. Someone else said they used and oscillating tool for the straight cuts, which I wish I had thought of.
I think my JCR camera relocation is arriving on Monday so I'm excited to get that on.
That is disappointing. Let me know where you cut them. Seems ridiculous they didn't say anything about which bumpers it's compatible with, and those lower parts are supposed to be for flat towing too.
I saw theirs but it looked unfinished to me, and you'll still see a lot of the winch in the way right in front of the truck. I know I'll be 100% satisfied with JCR's but the cost certainly sucks. RC's mount is so inexpensive it makes the overall package cheaper and better than 99% of bumper...
I have the same mount, and I had to fiddle with the sensors a little bit during install so they sit straight. If they are crooked they'll sense the mount holder. With everything done ACC works perfectly normal (used it on the highway too and from work), and the sensors work as expected when...
I got my LOD reinforcements in too, although I already installed my winch. It's not directly stated but I think you need to remove the entire bumper to add the reinforcements. I may wait until the next long weekend to take my winch and bumper off to install these...
I'm thinking of relocating mine under the hood too, I wonder if that mount will work for my Smittybilt winch pack. If I do that I'd wire up the control pack switch up to an upfitter switch, then never need to open the hood at all to operate the winch (wireless remote).
