@WolfBox where do you suggest we mount the rear cam on our Broncos? I have a soft top so I wanted to install my rear cam on the outside of my vehicle. I ended up mounting it on the housing of the third brake light, but I am noticing that when it rains, the rear cam collects water droplets while...
I went through Costco Insurance (Connect). My insurance includes my '23 Bronco Big Bend Squatch and a '18 Toyota Corolla IM. My six month premium is $1,066.00.
I thought about placing mine there as well. Do you have a picture from the cam itself that you can post showing what the view looks like? I thought that the spare may block too much of the view from that location. TY.
For all of you that have the Wolfbox Dashcam setup, let's see your mounting location for the rear cam. I have a soft top, so I decided to mount it on top of the 3rd brake light housing. It was constantly getting covered in rain droplets, so I put a black piece of tape as a hood over it to reduce...
Hi All - So I leased by '23 and I am planning on buying it out at the end of the lease. I am at 12,900 miles 8 months in (allotted 12K miles per year). When I get closer to my lease end but before I hit the 36K mile b-to-b warranty, should I be shopping around for an extended warranty since I...
Yah, they are easy to take off. Four bolts on each crossbar using a ratchet and a 30 torx (sp) bit. I plan to keep them on until the spring and then will take them off and use them only if I go on trips in the spring/summer/fall.
Hi all! I just bought this rack and cross bar system for my softop. Was fairly easy to install and so far I am not hearing any noise generated by the cross bars at freeway speeds. They can hold up to 300 lbs and they are pretty inexpensive in price. Just thought I would share in case anyone with...
@Ft. Worth Rob those definitely could come in handy! Hey btw, maybe you can answer this for me. The housing behind the rearview mirror, how does one take that off? I know there are like six clips or something, but I feel like I am going to break something each time I have tried to remove it. Any...
@TheLawnDart
I installed a Wolfbox as well and I absolutely love it. For the rear camera, I actually mounted mine on top of the 3rd brake light housing. To reduce rain from getting on the lens, I put a black piece of gorilla tape over the front edge of the camera. Kinda janky but it works!
Took mine out to Folsom Lake, California. Water level is super low so there are plenty of 4x4 opportunities there to try and test out all the different 4x4 options on my rig!
I looked in the fourms and did not see anything on this. I want to remove the IPMA Cover above/behind my rearview mirror to run some wires underneath. Has anyone done this before? Should it just snap right off with a trim tool? TYIA
@Ninjak Can you share the link for the power adapter you bought? I actually bought an OBD adapter that plugs from the mirror right into the OBD port. Thanks!
I have the softtop. I ran the rear camera wire up along the top of the windshield, down the passenger side, and then got lazy and trucked it underneath the floor mats against both front and rear door sills. Then I threaded it behind the rear seats under the matt back there and brought it up...
I have had three dash cams....a thinkware... a garmin mini...and now the wolfbox. The wolfbox is freaking amazing! The only issue I had, was I needed to buy an OBD converter cable on amazon to hook the power up to the OBD port on my Bronco.
Lol I just looked up a 2013 Fiat Abarth and the base model is 0-60 in 8.5 seconds with the higher performance model a 0-60 in 7.1 seconds. Lol I just measured my 0-60 at 7.28 seconds....but yah top end speed would not be able to keep up :).
