The Badlands is like an old choose your own adventure book.... it sets everything up for you to decide how it turns out...
Want the 7M? Don’t get the last 2 parts of the Sasquatch. Just add the wheels and tires after.
Want the auto? Do it with it without the Sasquatch, depending on how you...
Honestly I think the true split between Jeep vs Bronco is the die hard rock crawlers. Some will do it in a Bronco, most will do it in a Jeep.
On the Bronco side of the equation, we will see the majority at the Baja/dunes over Jeeps, when talking due-hards....
The overall majority will be...
Now I can’t decide between the Bandlands and Wildtrak.
Want 99% Of the Badlands... don’t need the rock crawl, or want the carpet, etc. I’m ok with the auto, because I want the 2.7.... just need the B&P tool working lol
That is true currently. As I see it, the Badlands gives you a “blank canvas” for build flexibility.
If you select the Badlands, you don’t need to select Sasquatch but you still get:
Suspension of the Sas
Manual transmission (although it seems going with the 2.7 changes that...sadly)
Stability...
The JL Rubi can go 35 w/o lift and not rub, barely. 37s w/a 2.5 MC or RK lift really easy.... but the catch in that is the gears 99% of the time. The 4.10s won’t use 8th in the auto, 6th in the manual. At a minimum, 4.55s will get those gears back, while 4.88 gets you better RPMs at most speeds...
So, in the Wrangler world, a lot of them go “+1” in size (33s to 35s for example) with little to no real issues right? Yes, eventually it will cause normal items to wear faster, due to the increased mass, but not “blow an axle” bad under reasonable conditions right?
I’m really just wanting 37s...
Ok, it’s now a need... are you able to at least answer if that started as a Badlands, without the rest of the Sasquatch package?
I know the thread states it’s a 2” lift, factory installed...so I’m going to assume it’s Ford developed and on my “watch for” list!
That is my understanding. Also, IF Ford decides to allow the 2.7 w/7M it should also be the 4.7... Fingers crossed!
:peers into 4th plane: Yes FORD, you need to make us happy too. Shareholders make the decision initially...we make it daily :exit 4th plane:
Ok, so what I want to end up with is Bronco on 37’s with the manual and 4.7 gearing. Looking at the options it comes down to the BL without the Sas. It seems like the BL has everything the Sas does, minus the wheels/tires so the real question would be if a lift would be required to clear the...
So that is what I've started to understand better. Most of those folks regear to 4.88-5.13 ranges to recapture a lot of the speed lost due to the bigger tires.
I have 35s on my 2011 F150 with 3.73s. I never regeared and lost MPGs, but she still flys! Keeping the 4.7 should keep these rocking...

Well, after 3 years of the JLs on 33’s with lower (higher?) gears (4.10 for Rubi), what issues have been seen? Many of them went with 35s after market, no lift.
