Could go with a 305/70 R-17. That is just about enough drop in height to work, and maybe not look odd?
can compare them here:https://tiresize.com/comparison/
I keep going back to your post and feel there are some great points to it.
However, I think the missing consideration are:
Wildtrak has SPORT mode instead of ROCK CRAWL. For those leaning towards a more Raptor approach to their off-roading would get more daily use out of.
Steel bumpers...
I keep going back and forth still. With the WT being only $6700 more, and getting the 2.7, Sas, auto, etc.... this builder tool is going to get taxed lol
I’ve run 35” tires for almost a decade with no issues. In fact, the times I’ve had to drive through mud and snow has proven to me the 35s were a good choice. Being able to get it from the factors means it’s set up and ready the day I pick it up. I don’t have to chase down any hidden issues. So...
That depends on your driving intentions. I want the gearing mostly for daily driving. My F150 has 3.73s and 35s. It’s not that she struggles as highway speeds, but getting near 80 and up makes he work harder than she did. When I looked at what gears to go to to help with that, it was somewhere...
If I’m reading the options right, from the Ford page, I’m stating to wonder if the “high-clearance suspension” is available “al cart”....which would then add the extra height to the Badlands without the Sasquatch. Then just do wheels and tires as you wish...
Like the jeans of an 80’s hair band fan, I’m torn.
I go back and forth on 3 possibilities:
Badlands w/Sasquatch
Badlands w/o Sasquatch
Wildtrak
The WT is set up for how I want to use the Bronco...but I want the 2.7 and 7M. Can’t have it... so do I go BL, no Squatch?
I want the 35s, but can’t...
Witch is pretty much daily! When in school, it was at an AFB in MS. We got tired of the “shelter in place” because of lighting within 5... As Navy, we still went outside lol
What I find concerning is the reports of muddy sound at volume. In an open air vehicle, volume is needed in most situations. Top and doors off, to here is not much to generate acoustic. System would need a good EQ to allow to clean the mud at volume.
Small world! I’m active Navy, AG... which basically says I’m a weather forecaster. My command issues weather briefs to pilots out of Tinker.... mostly to the Navy side.
Honestly? I don’t care as much as I thought I would. Jeep doing this is a little too late to sway my desire for a Bronco... and sure I’d love a 5.0 Coyote in the Bronco!
but if they don’t then I’m good with that. The 2.3 and 2.7 both offer more than either gas engine Jeep offers.. and they...
It is relevant in that it will be the first aftermarket suspension available. Also, it’s probably a Ford based upgrade that isn’t offered at purchase, but through their performance side... like Mopar did.
Active Navy, nearly 17yrs. Haven’t reserved yet, mostly waiting for a couple bills paid off....part of my retirement plan lol. I will be getting one, leaning toward the Badlands....
I have used Autosource before and they were great! Got my 2011 F150 from them and still have it. Love my truck!
Which is why I am really excited about the Badlands without the Sasquatch.
If I like the way it looks with 35s, then easy day.
If I find the 2” looks that dam good on 37s, then I didn’t waste too much money!
